My original battery packs couldn't hold a charge anymore. These are reasonably priced so I ordered them. They fit and are working perfectly. I can use my drill again. Lowes will recycle the original battery packs.

I have an older Drill and I needed a replacement Battery for it. I ordered this 2PK and they came already charged and ready to use. The fit my Legacy Drill perfectly! Great Price.

Amazon doesn't tell you, but you also need to purchase a compatible charger for these Ni-Mh replacement batteries. Another $24.00. Your original Dewalt charger for Ni-Cad batteries WON"T WORK with these (and could be dangerous to use. The original charger can heat up the battery and potentially cause a fire). A new, Ni-Mh charger will charge these Ni-Mh batteries, and even your original NI-Cad batteries, if they still will take a charge. Order the charger at the same time as the batteries, of you'll run out of power and have to wait until the Ni-Mh charger arrives to use them. Also, these batteries fit tightly in the tool, and can be a little difficult to remove. Someone else in a review indicated they may not hold the same total charge as OEM Dewalt batteries, so be aware of this as well (I can't check this because I DON'T HAVE A CHARGER!)

Work well

This product did not fit my current charger so I returned them. I ordered another pair that worked better and was the same color as my current batteries.

I like the fact that I did not have to throw my drill away because it was an older model with a dead battery.
