Other Pysllium products have warning labels because they contain trace amounts of Lead. Does this product have similar warnings or contain Lead?

According to Consumer Lab Reports, this product only contains 0.58 mcg per 5g TBSP of lead. Which is the second lowest of all psyllium brands tested in their study

If the mixture becomes thick and forms a jelly texture, is it still beneficial for weight loss or is it better to expand after you drink it?

I don't think a fiber product by itself will have a whole lot of effect on your weight loss. It does give you a fuller feeling since it will bulk up and you should drink two glasses of water with it. This will probably reduce your caloric intake. I know fiber also has a slightly beneficial effect on your cholesterol and metabolism. So all in all, it should aid in weight loss through slightly indirect means.

Why does mine have a Prop 65 warning?

I just bought several containers and they now have a Proposition 65 warning stickers on them - this is very disturbing particularly because the sticker refers to a website that is giving a page not found error https://organicindiausa.com/prop65 so I called the company. They called me back and directed me to this page https://organicindiausa.com/proposition-65 which shows OIUSA at 2 mcg of lead vs. Prop 65 limit of 0.5 mcg and explained that the California limit is 1000 lower than the level science has shown there to be a measurable health impact which I guess would be 500 mcg. However, the listing in the chart is some kind of average across all of OI USA's product and is not specific to psyllium and it is their company policy not to disclose individual product heavy metals testing information about. So we really have no idea how much lead we are gettng with this product but apparently they do know but are choosing to withhold this information. Maybe OK maybe not, we the buyer can't really tell and they are not telling us any specifics - it is more of PR veneer which does not feel right from a company selling organic products.

Can you mix it in milk?

I mix mine with 8 ounces of Califia Barrista Blend Oat Milk every morning and drink fast . . . it reminds me of oatmeal. The longer you let it stand the more gelatinous it gets and the harder, for me anyway, to get down though- again drink fast
