I've over fertilised my orchids and various plants around the house a few times in the past. Felt it was time to get proper measuring equipment to correctly dose the various quantities of sequestered iron and fish mix.Pros:- Easy to use- Works well with thicker organic fertilisers such as my fish mix- Good quality glass- Useful plastic cases to store each pipette- Easy to clean- Good valueCons:- The pipettes do not fit in the supplied casing if the rubber cap is not pushed all the way down over the pipette- Amazon packed these pipettes alongside a 500mL bottle of shampoo with limited paper stuffing, so two of the plastic container tubes arrived smashed. Luckily the glass pipettes were intact.So far I have only used one for my plant fertilisers but I'm sure I'll find other uses for the remaining four. So a recommend from me!

Well-made pipettes that are easy to use and clean. Much better than cheap plastic alternatives. The test tubes and caps are useful for storing the pipettes between uses although it's a shame they're not 20mm longer - the only way to re-insert the cap is to push the rubber bulb right down onto the neck of the pipette.

I got these to use for essential oils because glass pipettes are easy to wash out and seems to be the only way to work with some of the thicker oils. Here are the pros and cons:PROS:* Removable rubber tops (just pull off) makes cleaning the glass pipettes easy. Just run hot water through them or soak them in hot and soapy water a bit first. As long as you don't tilt the pipettes upside down, none of your fluids should come in contact with the rubber tops, which will keep them clean and unharmed.* The plastic test tubes that the pipettes come in can be propped upright in a small container so that you can store your pipettes neatly when they are not in use. Also, you can use the test tubes to hold your messy pipettes when you're in mid project to keep fluid from going everywhere. (This would be a lot easier if you bought an actual test tube holding rack.)CONS:* The plastic red caps of the plastic tubes are very hard to get off. By the time you grip them tight enough to rip them out, they have lost their shape and can be impossible to put back in. So the caps are useless. Try twisting them as you pull out instead of pulling straight out and they'll come out easier.* The plastic tubes are too short to fit the pipettes unless the rubber tops of the pipettes have been shoved all the way down. The first time you remove the glass pipettes from their tubes, you'll have to slide their rubber tops up to allow you to pinch them for suction. I found it disappointing that the tubes can't be used to store the pipettes in their normal working condition (without their rubber caps shoved all the way down). And the fact that the caps of the test tubes are so useless was another let down. However, you could probably buy mini cork plugs if you wanted practical caps for your tubes. But remember that these test tubes are PLASTIC, not glass, so that limits their use.For a good quantity of cheap glass pipettes, this kit works just fine. Mine arrived on time with no damage. I'd definitely recommend to those who want pipettes. And as I said, the tubes can be helpful in storing the pipettes upright or to give you somewhere to set them mid project. But if you're hoping for quality test tubes, buy glass ones elsewhere.
