Aqueon LED Deluxe Fish Tank Aquarium Full Hood, Black, 24 Inch

Old fluorescent hood bulb quit working. So far this is working great. Added the second LED with the Beauty Max size 24. Hood fits perfectly on my 20 gallon high/tall aquarium and can easily replace LEDs if the others quit working. Seems well made. Like the additional blue light for night time. Highly recommend.

Works great and fits perfectly! I have a 20” wide standard tank and it fits perfectly. The moon light is a nice addition too!

I absolutely love this hood. It's a perfect fit and the lighting is absolutely wonderful. I love the night/moon lighting as well. Which is sort of hidden. I thought there would be two switches and there's not. You just reverse the direction you flip the switch. Lol

I'm happy with this hood, but I do understand the frustration of some buyers about breaking out the plastic pieces to make openings for filters, heaters, and such. I had an inexpensive Harbor Freight oscillating tool available and that made quick work of it.Besides that, the light is doing a good job of lighting up the 20 high tank. The elodea plants are doing well and growing, and the fish seem happy enough. I am only using the one bulb that came with it. When it is switched to "night" mode, it is pretty dark. I'm happy with the purchase, but the manufacturer should listen to the comments about making the plastic sections easier to break out.

I had not been able to find a new lid or hood for my 11 year old 29 gallon bowfront aquarium. The bow version of this hood did not fit so I ordered this one and used my old lid which had separated at the hinge, underneath this one to fill in the bow gap. The black finish looks nice with the black trim at the top and bottom of my tank. The full length hinged door makes it easy to feed the fish and maintain the tank without taking the hood off. It can accomodate two LED lamps, but the included day white light is bright enought. I also like the blue nighttime moon light.

Good setup, takes several days for light brightness to really come out... Why i don't know?Uses a 12V D.C transformer LED Tube made for Automotive 12V DC car systems like interior "NEONS" etc..... Needs to be packaged with 13.5V DC transformer or even a 14V DC transformer to be good bright as that's what cars/trucks run at.The Hood does fit the tank dimensions in recessed areas like they was made for it!!PERFECT FIT!!Fits the Dimension of 11-7/8 x 23" long 55Gallon tank (PERFECTLY)!!Just that light takes several days to get bright for some reason...

This thing is hands down better than the original and my first replacement. Both the single piece, lights attached to the lid kinda things. This is a 3 piece with a complete front opening half and a removable light with interchangeable bulbs. Makes it way easier for feeding and water changes, and i don't have to replace the whole things when the led goes out. This has a cover to protect the lights from water. I just have the the light it came with and it's perfect. The double switch for the little blue light is great and it's just the right amount of light for night time. Great aquarium hood. Would highly recommend.
