Charming retro floral. High quality, very thin, strong fabric.
REVIEW FOR: Butterfly Print 4-PackORDER DATE: 10/9/2024.PAID: $17.59. (This was a brief sale off the Full price of $21.99. Less than a month later, they're at $25!)BEST USE: Decorative use. Lint-free drying of fine or delicate pieces. They'd make fabulous cafe curtains, letting lots of light through but providing privacy.SUMMARY: This is a top notch 5-Star product, where price is my only quibble. I have not washed them yet, but I expect fine results, unlike cheaper options which can lose their shape, and refuse to fold "squarely". They are even thinner than the other printed Urban Villa tea towels in 6-packs. I considered removing one star for the high price for ONLY FOUR TEA TOWELS, but the price is not completely out of line for this quality, with details like mitered corners, and a very fine, smooth tightly woven fabric.I waited weeks for this item to go on sale. I still wasn't particularly happy to pay over $17 for four, but I found these to have a unique charm, and therefore worth it. Had they been cheaper, I would have purchased more.I purchased this set entirely for the CHARMING RETRO FLORAL PRINT. I'll keep two, because I love beautiful tea towels. I'll give two to my mom, who decorates with (but never uses, haha) her pretty tea towels.HIGHLIGHTS:- LOVELY SIMPLE FLORAL print that's a little retro, reminds you of your grandmother's kitchen. They call this print 'Butterfly', but *Floral* is the impression it makes from any distance.- EXTREMELY THIN, BUT QUALITY fabric. The towels in this 4-pack are thinner than the other thin printed towels (in 6-packs) on this Urban Villa page, eg, the Tulips, which themselves are much thinner than the "woven" striped towels (where you can see the colored threads of the stripes on both sides of the towels). These are not "flour sack" towels, which have a particular look and feel, but they seem about that thin. They would provide lint-free drying of fine or fragile things. They would be gorgeous converted to kitchen cafe curtains.- MITERED CORNERS convey their "premium" quality. (Notice the angled seam at the corner in my photo of the hanging loop.)- "SELF" FABRIC LOOP for hanging, rather than a strip of cotton webbing that some other Urban Villa printed towels have. Nicely done.- TIGHT WEAVE: These are very tightly woven with fine thread giving these towels a smooth soft finish and rendering a remarkably strong fabric.- LIMITATIONS: There's really no cushioning and extremely limited absorbency, because of how thin the fabric is. For example, I wouldn't lay this on a granite countertop and set my wineglasses upside-down to dry, because I'd want more cushioning simply to place them down.

Pretty and VERY Good Quality
I love these kitchen towels! Happy to find them in just the right colors and a fabric that is actually absorbent. Not sure what's going on with fabric processing especially with other kitchen towels since most are NOT absorbent, even when 100% cotton!?! I still have some I purchased as little as a couple of years ago to some that are several years old and most have gone to the rag/work pile because they just don't absorb water as they should.NOT these pretty towels -- they washed well, and have been absorbent from the beginning. As pictured, I keep one hanging on the cabinet door under my kitchen sink so it's handy and can dry quickly after usage. They work well for drying dishes, hands and countertops if necessary. They are a generous size and the texture is what I like for kitchen use!AND for the quality I've experienced with them, the price is terrific!!! No more crappy, non-absorbent towels from the 'warehouse store' for me!!!

Very good cotton towels.
I like these very much. As pictured and described. Very good absorbency, cotton texture and feel. I like to wash kitchen towels in hot water and tumble dry, so I did these. I didn't actually measure them but I don't think they shrunk at all. The size is plenty big for me. Also the colors did not fade or run. I think they will be very durable for years of use.

Wish they were more absorbent but still a great dish towel!
My dish towels have been looking pretty shabby as of late and it’s actually been quite a while since I purchased some. The last ones I purchased, I bought from BB&B and they have served me long and very well. I will miss them! LOL! So I began my search for replacements. I wanted 100% cotton, lint-free, tea type, well-absorbing, earth tone in color but not too busy and no wording.I use them primarily for hand drying, food prep, light dish drying because I have a dish washer and also to line my counter when drying my produce after rinsing/washing. I usually use at least two standard size dish towels when I lay out off the vine grapes and chopped lettuce, somI need enough room to spread them out to dry. So I was looking for the biggest towel I can find that also met my others wants. I finally landed on buying these Urban Villa Kitchen Towels, Cuisine Stripes,Premium Quality, 100% Cotton Dish Towels because it met all of my criteria. So what about this purchase? Well it’s a great dish towel. It is 100% cotton, lint-free, tea towel, in earth toned stripes to match my chocolate brown decor in my kitchen. These are actually great and very large at 20x30. When I layout my produce, I can now use one towel instead of two to cover the space I need and these work great for this purpose and also enough absorbency for this kind of use. However, for hand drying, dish drying and using it to prep food when not in use, I throw it over my shoulder when I’m cooking and in this regard, I have to say that the towel feels a little to big for my practical. It’s also a bit stiff even though it’s been through the wash a few times now, it still holding its stiffness and it feels awkward to use it.Yet, I do love the color, pattern, the fact that it is lint-free, and it’s size does have its advantages for certain uses, so I will definitely say this would be a keeper and would also recommend it. I will also say that if you are looking for a very absorbent towel, this isn’t it. This is more of a tea type towel.

Rough on our towels...
We abuse our kitchen towels, from foot mopping to car washing. :) They are washed in hot water and dried on high heat. I bought this style two years ago and then again a few days ago and had to post a review. The ones in the pile on the left are new. The only way I can tell the difference is the old ones are softer and a bit stained. Despite much abuse they have hardly faded at all. I am impressed. These are VERY good quality towels. This time I also bought a different style from the same brand (2nd pic) that were a few dollars cheaper. They are stiffer and I'm skeptical these will be as good. Time will tell.
