Baskety Coconut Meat Removal Knife Stainless Steel Tool for Separate Coconut Shells & Flesh (Stainless Steel, Silver)

This is the only product available that can be used to remove white portion in coconut from shell. I was using a knife earlier but this has made my work in kitchen very easy.Pros:1. The edges are not sharp but blunt & rounded. There is no possibility of cutting fingers2. Steel used is of good quality & will last a long time3. The knife is very sturdy & can remove even hard coconut from the shell.Cons:1. It required few days of practice to get used to this knife. Don't leave it as waste after first few attempts. I too felt this was not good but after using a few days I got the hang of it & now I realize how easy it is to use.2. Cost is a bit expensive for a knife but for the quality it is VFM. I got it for 429/-3. This is not made in India .Suggestions:1. The best way to break a coconut is by using a good quality breaker . I recently purchased SAFWE Coconut breaker in Amazon (499/-). This is EN8 grade steel and fantastic. This knife in conjunction with the breaker will be a good addition to kitchen.2. I always soak the coconut in a bowl of hot water for 5 minutes before breaking. This will cut it evenly & shell will also come out easily.3. Use a sharp knife to put some cuts on while portion before using this knife and it will come out in a jiffy.

It's a super duper product. Very handy to remove the coconut from its shell. Highly useful kitchen tool.

The concept is good but the construction is unsuitable for the purpose as the blade os very thick and difficult to use it,

Too sharp. Pierced through my left palm. A deep wound. So, risky operation.

If the blade isn't thin and can't bend according to shape of different coconuts it is not functional.

Nice to peel off half the coconut in whole.
