Aluminum Dashcam Mount for BlackVue DR900S/750S/650S/590W Series Series - Patented Design Made in USA - Looks Factory Installed,BlendMount BBV-2000R

I picked this up because I wanted a cleaner install of a 750S-2CH. It worked exactly as described, and it very flexible in the way you can position the camera with the articulating arms. It's also stable, no shaking when I'm driving, and the camera's g-sensor etc. seems to function as well as if it were glued to the windscreen. It's a bit expensive, but I don't think it's an unreasonable price given what they're providing, you'd just need to decide whether a very high-quality, discrete mount is something you want. I did, and I'm completely happy with the purchase. There are reviews on youtube if you want to see more details. I'd recommend it to anyone who was looking for this type of device.

This camera mount is solidly built and relatively easy to install. The main difficulty is just getting your hand in position to use the included hex wrench to tighten it down.Once installed, the camera fits easily and securely. My BlackVue camera is fully hidden by my rear-view mirror so there is zero obstruction and no mounting to the glass. Once I finish running the cable down my mirror stalk, there won’t be any indication from inside the car that that camera is even there.There is no real chance at all that the camera will fall unless the mirror falls off, in which case you probably have bigger issues.

My BlackVue DRS900-2CH 4K Dash camera was experiencing mounting issues with the double-sided tape provided to attach it to the windshield. The temperatures in Southern California are quite mild during the winter and early spring, so when the tape failed after a few hot days in the sun I knew I needed a mechanical alternative prior to the arrival of the summer heat. Although the original spring clip provided by Blendmount would've worked, and was quite adequate for the task at hand, I preferred to modify the BlendMount BBV-2000R bracket to work with the original DRS900-2CH base. I easily removed the spring-clip attached via the Allen-head screw, to make room to attach the original BlackVue camera bracket. I center-tapped the 2 convenient holes already existing on the BBV-2000R clamp-arm, which just happened to be the correct DIA. required for 6-32 UNF. Then it was easy to locate and drill 2 clearance holes in the BlackVue plastic base and attach the base with 2 qty 6-32x Phillips pan-head screws. (see last photo for screw detail) As you can see, the final result was a sturdy bracket, perfectly positioned, and easily adjustable. Awesome value, for a quality machined part!!

Its good, its certainly not great and i only ordered it because of an accumulated amount of gift cards and points. I ordered this because i wanted a less hassle removal in comparison to the 3M glue i have had to pry off over the course of many different vehicles and tried a different route. There just aren't many options out there for this camera setup outside of using some clamp mounts and making some pieces work together on your own DIY build.The metal material is certainly solid and sturdy which two thumbs way up for no brittle plastic pieces. It feels more like something that should go on the outside of the vehicle and take a beating.The clamp to hold the camera is ok, it clamps down tight enough to keep it still but you can make micro adjustments if you want. Also as another comment has stated there is no locking feature so if someone sees or wants it, they can take the camera. Granted they could just remove the mirror and still have it but if someone wants something bad enough nothing is ever secure right?The tightening sequence felt clumsy and i kept going back and forth looking at the live footage and loosening the top and bottom as necessary before finally getting my angles right and tightening the top for the last time as instructed. Its not omg difficult just a pain, like there should be some quick throw lever in there to sinch it down in place while you tighten the rest. Or maybe a second set of hands could help i dont know. Either way once fully tightened i feel this thing is semi permanently mounted now, meaning the only way its coming off or loosening is if i do it with the provided allen wrench (that's a bonus too)Bottom line is this mount works and works great once installed. It sits snug against my rear view mirror on my 2018 outback with eyesight and i have no issues with it. I removed the extended link for a cleaner fit and it is completely concealed. I just wish the thing was $80.00 or something. Granted if your buying picatinny mounts for a rifle your spending in the same realm so i suppose its not that bad. That being said if you got the disposable income or gift cards and points go for it you wont regret it.

This little contraption costs a lot but it works and does a great job. There isn't anything like it for the blackvue so, I guess they can charge whatever. At any rate, it's super convenient. As someone who has been through the trouble of removing the adhesive from a previous install, I can say this is a blessing. Easy to put on and take off. 2 months in use and it has not shifted one bit even after repeated removing of the cam. Solid product.
