Rhino Trunk & Case Large Indestructo Travel Trunk with Removable Wheels, Reusable Shipping Container, Military Deployment, College - 32"x17"x13"

This is our 2nd Rhino Indestructo Travel Trunk. The Large is exactly the right measurements for airline travel. We bought the first one 4 years ago when my oldest went off to College in another State. It weighs 25 pounds so she only filled it with bulky bedding items to meet the 50 pound weight limit. After 4 years of airline travel back and forth to school, the trunk looks brand new. She used it for travel, as a coffee table when friends came over, extra seating, a step stool when she lifts her bad to create storage underneath, and best of all—-as a locked safe to keep extra cash and valuables. It is super sturdy. Although it’s bulky when traveling, my daughter said she used it in various ways at college on a daily basis. So, I bought my youngest daughter one too. My son didn’t want something so big and chose a Rhino cube instead. He only uses his as a side table and lock box.

This is advertised as appropriate for air travel, but weighs in at about half the max flight limit. It’s solidly built and I’ll give it a try when I travel, but it’s a clunkier and heavier than I expected.

This trunk is everything the maker claims it to be: totally indestructible, and just the right size for hitting the maximum baggage limits. The detachable wheels are super tough as well, and I've never felt in any danger of them either falling or breaking off during use. If you're looking for a trunk that can really stand up to punishment, this is your baby.One caution, though: depending on what you're putting in here, you may not be able to come anywhere close to filling it before you hit the airlines' weight limits. For my cargo, which is relatively dense, I only get to use about half the volume and fill the rest with bubble wrap or a big piece of foam rubber to keep things from bouncing around.

If you are planning on using this to travel between home and camp or school do not. The wheels fall off at the worst time. On and off a bus. Traveling through the airport. How many times i had to stop and pickup the wheel to reattach it was such a pain.

I took a year-long position requiring me to move enough personal stuff (read as mostly business wardrobe). While searching I found the Rhino Indestructo and thought it would be a good option. The sturdy wheels come off and can be easily affixed after a flight. This trunk is at the 62" limit for TSA travel so I did NOT get charged for oversize luggage. I did get charged for being overweight because I had more than 70 pounds in it. I forgot to remove the wheels on the second flight and they still came through alright. Now the trunk can be used as a piece of furniture. Very happy with it and at no point experienced any buyer's remorse. Solid purchase and will likely buy another at some point.

This is a really solid trunk. Its heavy with great construction. The problem is that is very heavy and when loaded, it needs 2 people to man handle it. Great use as a foot locker or put in a closet to store stuff. Do not buy this if you are planning on using it for any type of travel use. Too big and too heavy for travel use.

The trunk is much bigger in height than the other trunks that I have seen and the build quality seems to be a lot more durable as well. The wheels come with the trunk and are very easy to put on and take off without any tools. My first impressions of this trunk are very good. No problems yet!

High quality as expected. The wheels are meant to be taken off before releasing to check in as directed with the information pamphlet included otherwise they can break due to too much weight being stacked on top of it. It’s a great product overall, I would say best in the market. If you’re a minimalist go with the smaller size.
