could use more beans, overall good flavor & texture. Smokey, little sweet
Thick in that it isn't a runny broth. Thick in that there isnt much liquid left over. I am spooning up primarily food bits, not liquid. But not thick like a gravy either. I think has an appropriate viscosity.Good large pieces of "meat", the size of a quarter.Lots of chunks of potatoJust a tease of beans, could use more beans.Has a BBQ base flavor, hint of smokey and sweet. But not too sweet.Overall nice as is, but if you have some extra rice or veg, this would benefit from that.I bought this primarily for variety in my apocalypse food pantry, or just for use as a quick lazy meal. I buy when on sale and so stuff like this helps make for a cheap meal.

I'll take a rain check...
I was raised on Campbell's original chicken noodle mind you, so it brings me no pleasure to disparage a brand I'm loyal to. As a humble person, it was good, I enjoyed and appreciated having something to eat, and would not complain if this were fed to me in a school or other institution. But this is just not their best product. Out of the can, it's incredibly watery/soupy. Ok, it's soup after all. No big deal. Unnatural, almost fluorescent red colored stock/main liquid. Sure, whatever. I kid you not, maybe 5-6 little wafers of hamburger meat, which I immediately spooned up. Tasteless. There is nothing "Texas" or "BBQ" about this product. That said, after what little meat was included was consumed, the remaining product was a bright red soup of a potato chucks and beans, which was good. Make no mistake it's not "bad", it's just not what I expect from a brand that can and has done so much better. If you're looking for what the title claims, try "Campbell's Sirloin Burger". Much, much better. The only reason this is getting 3 stars instead of 2 is because sometimes they create good things by experimenting, such as "Pub-Style Chicken Pot Pie" and I do not want to unintentionally contribute to reduction of funds of efforts in that department. Perfectly hits the mark for what you expect from the title. This... not so much. I'd pass. Again, it conflicts me as a humble person to disparage food, something we should all at least in some base sense be grateful to have. But if someone is going to spend their hard earned money on something out of their way, they should be informed. And this is the purpose of this review.
