Tight, heavy and arrived in great condition
Received this about 2 weeks ago now and have to say that I am extremely pleased. I'd never had the original toy as a child as the lion Voltron was always more readily available. This has been a secret craving for years. I'm glad I waited! This version of the figure is so well built, including both plastic and heavy amounts of metal where appropriate. It feels solid, heavy and stands very well in many poses.Pieces are easily locked together without falling apart by pressing the "unlock" buttons as you out them together. This esures a nice tight full lock. Move ability is exceptional, outside of the legs. While the legs themselves have great range, the waist "flaps* that are ball jointed in the front tend to like to pop off when moving the legs very far forward at all. Kneeling on one knee thus would be impossible.without removal of this flap. The ball joint is rather small so I worry a bit about it coming out very often. That is my ONLY complaint. The helicopter propellers, at least on mine currently are tight and don't slip off. Even while posing or assembling/disassembling the figure. I've seen many that appear a bit loose, one or both. Perhaps it's just that I don't remove mine often?I suppose I do have one other complaint. The chest ship connects via tiny clips like I guess the original did, which was notorious for breaking. I would in fact worry about these breaking as they're a pretty tight clip. I'd.habe liked to see a magnetic attachment here if anywhere, or somehow a "plug in" method like other parts.Detail is spot on and.each vehicle on it's own feels very solid and worthy. From rubberized moveable tracks to tiny antennae to matchbox feel. The accessory display that comes with it holds EVERYTHING. including the tiny chromed accessories, back head panels, all weapons and even hands. Hands are stored up underneath but they click in nicely and don't fall lose. Interchangeable faceplate as well for Japanese or American naming.Box was solid. No creases bends or tears. This shipper packed very well, inside of a solid box with decent packing material to protect your item, box included. Shipping speed was decent, although perhaps it was more my excitement that made it feel longer. Overall. And even technically very pleased with this purchase and I'd absolutely do it again in a heartbeat.

Together at last!!
Another amaizing Chogokin from the wizards at Bandai! This IS the mech I have been waiting for.I could go on and on about the good, so instead I will point out the few quibbles I have...but they're not many :).1st - Price.I feel that this should be at the $300 mark (considering Amazon now charges me yax... boo). Golion's MSRP was $300 and it is the master SOC that all others before it and after will be compared to and judged by.2nd- Height.I feel, for the price, it should have been taller. I think the height ratio between Toynami's Masterpiece Lion Voltron and Miracle Metal Work's Vehicle Voltron was perfect.3rd - Screw HolesThe open screw holes on the legs and thighs are somewhat distracting. Bandai should have included some plugs you could insert, if you wish, to conceal them. I know Golion has some also, but they're less prominent.4th - Knee separationSo this is not a design or price issue, but maybe a QC issue. The right knee n mine separates when it is moved passed the halfway mark, about 30ish degrees. The locking mechanism is super tight and I doubt I could shake the leg out when it's straight. But, when its bent it comes out. Not a deal breaker for me, though. I just don't want a nasty surprise when I pick it up. Hopefully it is just isolated to my copy.***update 11/30/19*** the knee issue seems to be operator error. The two leg parts no longer come apart when bent, apparently, I was not inserting it tab all the way.Quibbles aside this is definately the TOY OF THE YEAR for me...it is sooo good. It's heavy, feels like quality, very detailed, and colorful. Pose-ability is very good, better than I thought it would be. Some of the joints on mine are very tight, and if I didn't take time to find what direction the joints are supposed to move I could have broken something by over stressing it.ConclusionIf you can get one...get it now. I fear this is going to explode in price like GX-71 did especially since Christmas is right around the corner and there are a ton of 35-45 year olds who have the nostalgia itch.
