Doesn't live up to its heating promise
I bought this 300W heater for a 406 liter aquarium believing that it was suitable for an aquarium up to 600 liters; I set it for 30 degrees Celsius (86 F). It has been working for two days and it does not go above 28 degrees Celsius. Does it not have the capacity that the manufacturer promises? How long should I wait for it to reach the setting temperature?

Difficult to manage temp control
I purchased a pair of these for my new 220g aquarium. I have one placed at each end of the tank. I've had these operational for a week now, and I'm still trying to dial in a consistant temperature. The video that accompanies this item is not valid because the model and it's controls have changed. There is a single red dial and the VERY SMALL temp number indicator is a range of four degrees (82 to 86) Not great for accurate temp setting. One would assume that if the dial was set close to 86 the temperature would be 85 (for Discus). I've set up both heaters for the same temperature, but after a week I'm still having to dial in the correct temperature. Today it's sitting at 83.7 degrees. For the price of these supposedly high-end heaters, I would have expected more accurate control settings, and more accurate temperature control. Very frustrating.

I'm glad I purchased this product as I bought 4 so far. The dial is easy to use but the instructions are just a little challenging. But overall great heater.

Works
So far so good. I have 2 in my 100 gal just in case 1 malfunctions. Keeps up during winter months.

Accurate but one didn’t last
I bought two of these to heat a 225 in a cool room. They were easy to set, held their temp rock-steady. I like the pilot light, red for heating and green for standby. One of them, 10 months old, developed condensation inside, which is a sign of a broken seal. So I’m replacing it with another one.
