Surprising results
I didn't know what to expect when I ordered this, just an add on to a couple sets of tuli cups I ordered when plantar fasciitis started to flare up, and they didn't look like much when it arrived, just a pair of light half sock things that pulled on over the heels, without a lot of padding or special design. I just pulled them on when they arrived ( they go on and off very easily, much easier than tight socks). walked around for a couple hours, and left them on when I went to bed (they're virtually unnoticeable). Much to my surprise, when I got out of bed the next morning, the pain in my heels was half what it had been up to then, and I'd had no overnight pain of the kind that was starting to wake me up in bed. I've been wearing them just overnight now for a couple weeks now, and then pain in the middle of the night, and those first few steps in the morning has virtually disappeared. I still put them on every night, because why not, less work than brushing my teeth. Plantar fasciitis just started flaring up with me a few months back. Never had it before, and it took me awhile to figure out what it was, and what I needed to do about it, so I don't know how these would work for somebody who's had it longer or in a more severe form, but I was well on the way to getting pretty gimped up, and now I don't have the problem any more. I'll stick the cups in my shoes, and keep slipping these on at night, because I figure the problem is still lurking in the background, but for all practical purposes, these things cured my problem, at least so far.

Read the 1 star reviews before buying!
Here's what I sent to the seller: "I wish I had read the 1 star reviews instead of the 5 star reviews. I wear a men's size 9.5 to 10 US shoes. Many of the 1 star reviewers did as well, and they said the same thing I have to say - they barely cover my heel. I have Plantar Fasciitis, and was hoping these would fit like it shows in the picture, covering the arch portion of that woman's foot...but these do not even extend past my heel, and certainly not onto my arch. I put them on about 30 minutes ago, my foot began hurting much worse at that time, and it is still hurting. I'm going to continue to try them as long as I can take the pain in case it is just a matter of getting used to them. I'm concerned however, that these aren't going to work for me. I wanted to go ahead and say something though in case you happen to be checking these comments right away, and can perhaps suggest something I might try to get these to work better for me."Here's their reply two days later: "Hi, My apologies this purchase didn't work out for you. I will have no problem accepting your return as long as your product has not been used! Thanks for understanding! Have a wonderful day! Kate"But of course, they did not fit, they did not work, and there was no way for me to know this until I had opened the package and put them on my feet...and thus, they had been "used" and made ineligible for return. These may well work for someone with a foot the size of that of the model in the photo, but they certainly did not work for me or for many others who left negative reviews.

Absolutely GREAT for the BACK of the HEEL where your achilles tendon attaches to your foot...
I wrote a review back in 2015 when i first purchased two of these. I'm still using them today. I see a lot of negative reviews- and it might well be from people who are buying this product to product their heel at the sole of their foot - essentially underneath the foot where the heel meets the shoe sole. I can see where it doesn't offer much help there- its just a thin neoprene sleeve. The padding is actually at the rear of the foot at the calcaneus bone - if you look closely at the picture you will see some padding at this place on the rear of the heel. it is essentially right near the spot where the Achilles tendon connects to the foot.If THAT is the area where you are having problems (as I was), then this sleeve works absolutely great and will really help you. It stabilizes the heel area with its snug (but not uncomfortable) fit, and it protects the heel area from the shoe both rubbing and pressuring the calcaneus region. This allowed my achilles/ calcaneus to heal from either a slight tear in the tendon itself or some stress related injury. I had almost debilitating pain there and I am pain free now and i think this little device is what allowed me to heal. I tried a bunch of achilles supports and heel cups etc and none of this addressed the calcaneus region the way this does.I think it is important for the sleeve to be SNUG - not so tight that it hurts or feels like its affecting circulation - but tight enough to stabilize the heel area and not slide around while you are walking. So if it slips on too easily and moves around you should get a smaller size.
