Fascinating read
Fan of "Below Deck?" You will enjoy Captain Lee's book.Boating or yachting enthusiast? Always wanted to travel or be a sailor? You will enjoy Captain Lee's book. The book takes us up to and through the first episode of the series "Below Deck," so this is not the book to get if you are after behind the scenes gossip about the show. There is some inside info about the first episode. The fascinating part comes with reading what it took for Captain Lee, the witty, self assured, yet humble star and father figure and of course, captain, on "Below Deck" went through, along with his family, to get where he is today. He sure paid his dues! He met and interacted with many a 'colorful character' and 'salty sea dog' along the way, and has the stories to show for it. He tells the stories well.Did you know Captain Lee (Harold Lee Rosbach) once owned his own restaurant? Well, now you do....That story is in here, too. His gallantry is also throughout the book. Give it a read.

I was hoping this book would not be what I thought it might be
I was hoping this book would not be what I thought it might be and I was right. I imagined it could be all about the Below Deck Drama or at least half the book. But it was nothing of the sort. A very enjoyable read about the struggles of life and the love of the sea. I like how he went into details about everything from welding to engines on ships and assumed the reader would be intelligent and want to know the details. I love when authors go into detail especially when you’re a ships captain it’s important to talk about the ship because without it there is no captain. It’s a very enjoyable read with some interesting adventures and things in life we have to deal with. Sometimes we do not always need to read about how someone saved the world from doomsday. To the readers that gave it 1 star, they must have been looking for gossip and reality tv show crap. Stuff that pales in comparison to real life adventures.Great job Captain Lee and also very well written to make an enjoyable read from front to back.

Great book
I am reading this book on a Friday night. It's very good. I am also a fan of Below Deck and Captain Lee, you were very professional yet let "the kids" have their fun when the guests weren't around. I rented a chartered sailboat for my honeymoon in the Grenadines. It was beautiful. I tried being a yacht broker for a while. I sold a $400K boat once. But I really didn't make enough money so went back to computers. But it was really fun and I definitely met some unusual people! I also read Kate C's book, it was good but I forgot to write a review. Maybe I will. Also wanted to mention that I guarantee you not many people know how hard and long the crew works. Of course, some clients won't care anyways. But Below Deck really shows that. BTW, Ben is the most fun chef. And of course, Kate is good and it's pretty standard that the stews do NOT want to be told what to do! Of course, some deckhands were like that, too. Smooth sailing..

Captain Lee-a tough guy with a big heart!
I absolutely love all of the Below Deck series and have always been impressed by Captain Lee’s no-nonsense style of running the ship. It was intriguing to read the background on how Captain Lee navigated from Point A to Point B to Point C in life. I enjoyed every moment of relaxing and soaking in his stories. I thought I loved watching Below Deck before, but believe that I can appreciate it even more now after learning that it was no easy road that Captain Lee traveled to get him to where he is today. Thank you so much, Captain Lee, for giving us a glimpse of your journey!

The Man!
I have always had great respect for Captain Lee regarding the way he conducts himself on the TV show. This was a fun book to read in order to understand how he became a Captain. As he tells his life tale is quite instructive for those whom have aspirations--one step at a time. He finds no menial task below himself because he has done it all. He is an inspiration for all young people. BTW, if you do not like foul language, you may be taken aback. Personally, his salty words made me laugh, as I served in the USN & have already heard it all. A great read!

A good and easy read
I did not inherit the gene for "loves to read" like other members of my family. I'm one of those people who will read "if I find a good book". There has to be something that catches my eye about a book or it has to be something that I'm really interested in such as the early years of the space program. In this case, I'm a fan of the Bravo television show "Below Deck".I enjoy watching the show and Captain Lee is easy on the eyes! I chose to read his book because I was interested in how he got to be a Captain on a yacht and I figured he would have some good stories to tell. Captain Lee didn't let me down!

A great and enjoyable read
Being a new fan of Below Deck and researching the series I came across this book. I wasn’t sure what to expect but I’m sure glad I found it. What an interesting life Captain Lee has led and this book is like sitting down with someone I’d really like to know and listening to him describe his life throughout all his experiences, adventure and misadventures. An easy and quick read but a real fun one. I highly recommend it👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻🎄
