Easy to pop up AND fold down flat. I store it behind the bedroom door when not in use. Great for the beach as it dries super quickly and sand doesn’t stick.

My kid rolls around in this all the time. Uses it as a fort to play in and watch his tablet in. Very durable and easy to stow when not in use.

Its not going to be the most durable thing you buy for a 3 year old, but he has abused this tent my standing inside and walking along the walls until he falls over - like a hamster wheel. I keep it folded in the original box and when I take it out it automatically wants to unfold and I have to help it by seperating the opposite corners at the last - very easy - no rods to connect and bend through tabs etc. Folding up is a little more difficult but if you have a car sunscreen with wire twist its very similar and should only take a few seconds once you practice enough. Its weak spots are the netted windows and I don't like the lip at the doorway (most tents have them) as he tends to stumble over it if he is walking out of the door, crawling out is no problem. My 3 year old grandson gives it two thumbs-up. He tore up the previous tent and snapped a fiberglass rod which spewed dangerous fibers all over the place and we were carefully picking splinters out of our hands that were hard to see and hope we didn't breath any into our lungs.You could use this for outside but its not weatherproof and you need to anchor it down somehow so I would not recommend it unless its a nice day and you're watching them.

It's a little small for an 8- year old, but my grandson doesn't think so. He loves it!Folds down easily to put out of the way, then reopens even more easily to keep playing.
