Works well but not quite 9VDC output
These charge at the terminals and so put out a bit less than 9VDC. I used it in an electronic project where I wanted to charge it at the terminals, and I didn't need exactly 9VDC beginning voltage. Some 9VDC batteries are charging with a USB port. I believe those are closer to 9VDC beginning voltage. Check specs. EBL makes batteries with the USB port as well.I contacted EBL about specs and if these have charge/discharge management in the battery -- they do. That is what I wanted for my electronic project even though I provided a current source to be sure it couldn't charge too fast.

The charger and batteries review....after 1 year of use...
UPDATE:Raising from 2 to 5 stars:Because my review, EBL contacted me about this issue and they kindly sent me at no cost a new charger. Great EBL support!Until now, the new charger it's working very well and I hope it last more than the old one.==============================Review after 1 year of use:The charger:The charger gets very hot while charging the batteries, it does not matter if you charge one or two batteries at the same time. Now, after one year of use and no more than 20 charges, the charger died. The charger is smelling to smoke. So, I have opened it and the tiny yellow transformer inside was burn. For no more that 20 charges, I do not think that it could be a good and reliable charger, actually I really think that this charger could have start a fire in my house. The batteries:These batteries (Li-ion) last a lot more than regular Ni-MH 200ma rechargeable batteries. But the size is inconvenient on some equipments. The batteries are a little bit more bigger than standard 9v batteries. For example, I have four acoustic guitars, in two guitars they don't fit. I think that could be a lot more of electronic devices where these batteries will don't fit neither. Now I have four, like new, batteries and I don't know if I want to buy another charger or if simply discard them on a recycle can trash after use the current and last charge. I feel that a new charger will get burned again after just some uses. Meanwhile, I'm working with my old and until now (3 years) reliable Tenergy Ni-MH batteries (B003MRF9G8) that fits perfect on all my guitars. My advice:Keep away of this charger. The batteries appears to be good, but the non standard size it's an inconvenient for some electronic devices.

A good, cheap set
Update 8/29/18The seller contacted me after my last review and sent me a free replacement charger and it made a VERY significant improvement. I still have to play with the charger a little bit to get it going (unplugging/replugging it once or twice does the trick) but it charges the batteries much more completely and the batteries don't fall out of the charger the way they did in the original one i receieved. Still not quite as good of performance as regular, nonrechargeable batteries but I think that's usually to be expected and the replacement charger made this a very worthwhile set to have on hand.Original review 7/10/18The charger is not good. I am giving two stars instead because the batteries typically do work...but they are inconsistent, possibly due to the charger.I bought these for one purpose. I'll put details down below if anyone cares or is planning to use these for a similar situation so you have a warning, but here are the basics:Charger design is not good. All of the two-slot chargers I was seeing when looking around on Amazon were of similar design so I hadn't even considered the flaw in this design prior to testing it out... The majority of power outlets are vertical on the wall. When I have this plugged directly into an outlet, its a chore getting the batteries to fit into the right ridges and stay put. If I try to attach the batteries prior to plugging the charger into the outlet, no matter how gingerly I do it, the batteries fall off or at least enough out of place during the plug in that they won't charge. So, I've opted for plugging it in to a power strip. That has worked better since gravity isn't trying to pull it from the charging slots, but it's still inconsistent. Sometimes the charging light will come on right away. Sometimes I have to play around with the battery, move it around and keep reconnecting the battery before the charging light comes on...and sometimes I have to walk away and come back later before it will work. I can rarely get both charging slots to light up.As far as the batteries go...I have had a few times that they perform comparably to the regular, non-rechargeable batteries I've purchased. Most of the time they work, but only up to about 50% of the battery life of regular batteries. I have also had a few times that the charger has deemed them fully charged and they are close to dead.As I started with, I am undecided on the batteries because it could simply be a charging issue - without a new charger I can't tell. The details, if anyone cares:I bought this to record on Smule using an iRig Pre, connected to a Blue 200 mic. That particular mic requires the +48V phantom power option with the iRig. When used with the iRig's phantom power, estimated battery life for one 9V battery is 10 hours (that info comes straight from the iRig Pre's product page here on Amazon). That battery life estimate held pretty true with every regular, non-rechargeable battery I've used, and I went back and bought another for comparison purposes after using these rechargeable ones. Around the 8-9 hour mark, I would start noticing the recordings being lower in volume that when the battery was new, but it's still good sound quality and I can adjust the volume it saves at manually so that's not a big deal. Around the 10 hour mark, there would be a bit of static and (I don't know the technical terms), but I would be maxing out the mic if singing with any power behind my voice. With these batteries, I have had twice that they have lived up close to the performance of a regular battery. I used them for a few days with 2-3 hours of use per day. Most of the time however, it last through one 2-3 hour day, maybe with a little left over I can use the following singing session. But I have also had multiple times that I put in a "charged" battery and I hit static/maxing out within 15 minutes.I will, for sure, be looking for a replacement charger.

All batteries and charger worked as discribed so far!
Just received so can't really comment of longevity but batteries and charger shipped fast and all charged great on first charge without issue. Noticed how much lighter the li-Ion 9v batteries are compared to conventional. Hoping long life and many recharges to come.

Perfect for Tens unit!
I got these to use in a Tens 7000 unit as an alternative to going through lots of disposable batteries. Compared to "coppertop" 9 volts, these power cells are just as powerful (feel a bit more actually) and the output level is maintained to a greater extent while being discharged. The charge lasts as long or longer than a new coppertop, and the charging device is simple to use and clearly indicates when charging is done. It takes several hours to recharge. The cells cost about twice as much as regular 9 volts, so are a better value for applications with frequent use, and will minimize landfill volume. Highly recommended.
