Very good product has a slight smell that's very nice and works good.☺️

When I used to live in Mexico, this was on hand at virtually every school I visited in the north even though the tree (whose bark is a primary ingredient) was in Chiapas, a state in the south. It is amazing for all kinds of skin issues—including sunburn, abrasions, and even infections. This version is okay, but the thicker, blacker version with more petroleum is more effective than this creamier version. Still good, but could be great! (The drawing on the label made me think it was the original type.)

Buyer beware: It doesn’t contain any tepezcohuite. Also, the main ingredient is BHT (uploaded photo gives more info on BHT)Unfortunately, I bought this without doing my research and can’t return it now, as there are no returns on this product -lesson learned.

Tepezcohuite OintmentOverall, I have not found topical ointments very effective in relieving the itch of my skin diseases. The above one is the one of the dozens I have used that seems to help the most. If it is an intense itch I doubt that it would help much, but mild to moderate it seems to. After applied to the skin it takes about an hour to reach full effect. A little goes a long way. I buy it on Amazon.All of this is from my personal experience. Every system is different so your experience with it may be better or worse

Just what I expected

This products label uses the "Tepezcohuite Bark" in its name. Don't be misled like me. The small print on the side of the container received in the mail says "This product does not contain tepezcohuite bark but does contain other ingredients that are effective..." The only active ingredient is Methyl salicylate. Clearly this is a product being sold deceptively as something it is not. Do not purchase!
