it's so hard
It's so hard to find the right fittings these days. i'm fixining an old compressor and needed the right fitting to make that happen. this was it and it fit just right. I miss the days when i could go to a hardware store and find the exact thing i needed. But this is the next best thing i guesss

Happy I found this fitting
Needed something to go from 1/4 pipe to 3/16 compression and this fit the bill.Am using this for an airbrush, have a 3 gallon compressor with standard 1/4 quick disconnects.Made the hookup way easy.

Not standard thread on compression fitting
5/16 compression fitting uses nonstandard threads. Won't work with other products (kitchen sprayers, standard hose connections, ....) that use 1/2 - 20 UNF threads, which are the industry standard for 5/16 compression fittings.
