Really helpful and Value for money
Really impressed with these vocabulary cards! They’re simple but super effective. The definitions are clear, and the examples actually help you understand how to use the words. I like how compact they are—I can take a few with me when I’m out. Perfect for anyone who wants to improve their vocabulary without feeling overwhelmed.

easily the best vocab flashcards we've found - perfect for 11 plus and beyond
These are great! Just the right level of detail in the definitions.Really clear font. Cards are just the right size to handle comfortably. Great quality and come in an attractive box.The etymology section is certainly not just for the advanced - in fact it is an integral part of learning and understanding the true meaning of a word. The choice of words included is also well thought-out; high frequency words that are encountered when you read a wide range of books of different styles. You also get a whole load of synonyms and antonyms with each word. These are clearly compiled by someone who knows the various methods which are effective in vocab learning.Definitely more fun for a child than simply using an etymological dictionary - maybe ours finds physically handling the cards like a game; whatever it is, he much prefers it to handling a book.Definitely a great investment which we will be using long after the 11 Plus.

Complicated words not used for a small talk
Game for English language lovers or ones who have interest in learning and freshening up your wocablary.I have played this once with my 10 year old sister and was amazed of her understanding meaning of those words.I could only memorize one word after an hour of playing which is zellous but I imagined that it would be more a game of making up words of same origin. But was happy to guess the meaning of words by given synonyms and antonyms that I was familiar with which I think is a key point to this game.Honestly I would not be able to get the right meaning without guessing unless I knew the origin or same word transformation because most of words I have never heard of. There's also a metal ring and you can attach each card to it was not sure what it was ment for!? I will enjoy it anyway but would be more excited of having more familiar words in this card game! Also a single card has a word given on both sides would prefer having each card with a single word it's just my visual aspect of it! It just looked that too many words were squashed in a single card and for elderly person because of small font size could be difficult to see.

Neat Idea having Flash Cards with Two Rings. Highly Recommended.
Highly Recommended. It is a neat idea having the flash cards with two rings. The ones you have learnt can be put on one ring and the ones you are planning to learn for that day can be put on the other one. My 8 year old loves them even though they are meant for a couple of years up. All nicely organised in a robust box.

Fantastic set of vocabulary flash cards.
These vocabulary flash cards a fantastic for any student taking part in an eleven plus exam, there are clips to keep key cards together to better help the student memorise and revise. There are literally hundreds of cards with core words alongside synonyms/antonyms, pronunciation and usage for each word. These are key to help the student learn groups of words quickly.Inside the box there are neatly packed cards ready to take out for reading, learning and/or revising. These words are key to pass the eleven plus exam and are designed for reading by the student. From the start to the end the cards are packed with an array of vocabulary to learn and helps develop the reader to feel more confident to the different types of vocabulary they can use in day to day conversations. On the last card, there is information detailing bonus study material to even better help the student excel with their learning and development with vocabulary. There is an opportunity to visit the website stated on the card and answer some questions and they include activities like filling in blank questions, videos on how to study with flash cards and hundreds more questions too.My conclusion is that there is some detailed vocabulary on these flash cards but it is an excellent way to better develop and excel an eleven plus student with the exam also this could boost a person’s confident when preparing for the exam too.

Fantastic way of learning
What an amazing and fantastic way to help students develop a lasting understanding of the most important words for 11 Plus.''11 Plus Core Vocabulary Flash Cards'' contain a word network with definitions, usage, synonyms, antonyms, part of speech, and pronunciation, making learning easy and fun, more than just learning from a book.As a mother of a child with working memory issues, I can really appreciate the innovative and unique way of learning these cards can offer to my child. When he opened the box he got really excited by the amount of the cards and the fantastic design overall, giving him the opportunity to walk around the house (it's his own way of studying) with just holding one card instead of a book.Definitely recommended, and it would also be a useful resource for anyone, including adults wishing to improve their English vocabulary knowledge.

A great resource for learning new vocabulary!
These flashcards are a great resource! They are very portable and come in a small, neat box. Each word is given its own flashcard and the set is numbered and organised alphabetically. The flashcards themselves include key, high-quality vocabulary and not only provide a description of the word, but also have synonyms, antonyms and give examples of the word in context. A fun way to learn new vocabulary, and not just for the 11 Plus!
