Yeah, no instructions on how to use it in the box, hooked it up tweaked with it for a whole month no result. Might be better to save the $$ for a POE system instead of this guy.

While it passed a picture, the quality of the images was severely downgraded. I tried all possible settings. My suspicion is that, even on the lowest setting, it had too much gain and was overpowering the DVR. I found a different amp that I could set for only 4 db of gain and that amp does the job. Maybe it will work for you if you have a real long coax run.

I bought this to try to boost the signal on one of my security cameras that has been installed and working fine for about 5 years, then lost video feed all of a sudden. After troubleshooting, I determined the problem to be in the RG59 cable. I bought this unit which adjusts with a series of up/down switches. And a different unit off eBay that adjusts with a couple of twist type switches.I was never able to achieve any improvement with this dip switch unit. I was able to fine tune the picture with the reostat type unit. It still didn’t give me the quality I was hoping for but it did help. I ended up returning this unit. It may work, it just didn’t help my issue.

I have a Wisenet 4K high definition security system and it did not work. I wired it in as the instructions directed and connected a 12v power source to it. The camera system recognized the power was on to the camera but only displayed a black box in the viewer. I flipped the first din switch, waited, then did the other and with all of the switches on it still did not give me a video picture. It remained a black box. I also turned the brightness all the way up and it made no difference. I missed the return window so I have a fancy paper weight now….
