Good Stuff
Great stuff. Has a consistency thinner than water, but goes on easy enough with a brush if that's the way you need to do it. It really soaks into the wood, and quite fast. Yes it has a strong smell but i don't find it to be unpleasant. Time will tell on the effectiveness. If you are dip treating your wood, as recommended, buy more than you think you will need. As i said, it soaks in very well.

first try
It is now so hard to find a copper naptha product that I suppose we should feel lucky that Grreen's has managed to dodge the bullet so far. 20% copper is a thing of the past so I tried this. The copper green is also a good product but leaves the green color for years. I just stripped my bare wood home of 27 years with a pressure washer and treated it with iron sulphate which came out great. However some untreated window trim and the outer wall bottom edge needed extro protection. I'm amazed at how well this product is drawn into the wood. End grain will soak up about 3 inches in a couple of weeks. It also leaves the wood a dark brown which eventually turns into a medium brown. The oil should also help repell the water on the edges of the wood. I just dripped it with a dropper on the bottom edge (its too thick to spray with a garden sparayer) yet it soaked right in. It worked for me!

This is the best of preservatives and the worst of preservatives.
The best: As another reviewer has said, the oil based naphthenate is better than the water based. It penetrates deeper into the wood than its water based cousin. Both are superior to Boric Acid solutions, which do not penetrate nearly enough to be effective. Apply late in the after noon when the relative humidity is low to get maximum penetration. And the reviewer stated, oil based copper naphthenate is the best preservative available today. The worst: It has nauseating fumes. You will need to wear a quality respirator, like 3M's, and rubber gloves. You may have to leave your clothes outside after you finished as the fumes will permeate them. If you do not wear a respirator, expect to endure the deleterious effects of VOCs, like blain dabage.

like adding water
This is not what I expected at all. I have a few projects I wanted this for. I read and researched a while. The reviews seem to be excellent. I coated, twice as directed, the wooden bottoms of two crane statues. The consistency was like water. This did not seal, as I had hoped. More like a stain. Would not recommend as a water proofer

Seems to work as described, time will tell if effective, gets absorbs heavily, strong odor for a week or more
Seems to work as described, time will tell if the wood is prevented from rotting and insect infestation. Wood soaks it up fast, same with a repeat coat a few weeks later so it doesn't seem to get saturated by absorption. Very strong odor for a week or more, needs to be kept outdoors

Works but strong fumes
Stinks horribly for a few days even though it was used outside but seems to work!

works as advertised
I use this on my tree stands and it does a great job preserving and protecting the wood. In addition, it gives the wood and nice brown color that blends in beautifully in the woods.

smells bad.
this stuff reeks. i mean it stinks, through the bottle, before you even open it. while my wife was painting our fence posts with it, it stunk up the whole backyard and i could even smell it in the front yard. we had to cover them while a tarp before and after drying, just to be able to work in the area without feeling like we were getting cancer. bear in mind, it was only 3 4x4" 9 foot fence posts. we're not talking about a major job.i assume it works, and does it's job, that's the only reason im giving it two stars. but if i could do it again i might look into trying the fire method instead.
