Q: How much does the chair weigh? does it float up or tip over if nobody is sitting in it?

The Chair weighs about 35 pounds when empty. To install it on the ledge, you will fill the furniture with water. Once it is full of water, the Chair will weigh about 135 pounds. The water inside of the Chair is what gives it the weight to hold it down on the ledge. The Chair is designed for ledges that have 0-9 inches of water depth. If the ledge is deeper than 9 inches of water than the Chair will become buoyant.

Q: Do you have to let the water out of the chairs and take them out of the pool every time you shock it?

No, shock doesn’t seem to have any effect on them and we have them in white. We leave them in the pool year round and they still look like they did as new.

Q: I have 6” deep water. Will I get water sitting in the seat or not? The height from the bottom to the seat area is not clear.

Q: Can these be used in a liner pool (on a tanning ledge)? I worry about what the bottom of the Lounger is like and if it could damage the liner. Thanks

I am not familiar with a pool liner and exactly how it sets and how thick the material is. I have two of these ledge lounger chairs 0-9 inch in six inches of water on my plaster tanning ledge. The chair material is very smooth hard polyurethane or plastic. The lounger has to be filled with water to weigh it down and keep it from floating. the bottom of the chair is smooth and the screw in plug is recessed. I filled the chair as the directions called for with pool water, but allowed only enough water in, to weigh the chair down so it did not move. The chair once water was in was still light enough to be moved or lifted a little by me, and with two people no problem to lift the chair out of the ledge onto the edge of the pool for cleaning or storing if gone. If the pool liner can withstand a 200 to 250 pound person sliding their feet along the liner, then I believe the chair will be okay.
