This product is consistently better than any other vegan algal oil or vegan omega oil I have tried (flax, hemp, perilla, etc.). It has qualities that quickly effect the texture of my skin and my eye's ability to produce healthy tears (relieves dry eyes within hours of taking it, changes texture of skin from dry to soft, within hours of taking it).I don't know why this oil is so much better than the other brands, but none of them have these beneficial effects, to my noticing. I have tried many brands of vegan algal oil, mostly to try to save money, but, not one of them has the same effects as Amala Vegan. I keep coming home to this brand.The brand has changed slightly from time to time, over years, but always trying to improve and never sacrificing the positive benefits I list. They have finally, i think, made it free from any algal taste or smell, which bothered some people. I updated my review because, any reviews mentioning "fishy" taste may be about the older versions; check the dates, the product has changed. There are also some old pictures of capsules that are no longer what it looks like, so, pay attention to dates of pictures you look at. The caplets are small and there's no taste or smell I can notice anymore.I only wish it were more affordable for me. I find the optimal dosage I can reasonably afford to have these desirable results is 12 caplets, taking 6, twice a day, 12 hours apart, morning and night. If I were more wealthy, I would probably double that dose. I don't think there's an unlimited need for this, but I could probably take it as my only or primary source of dietary fat, at a rate of a few teaspoons full each day, rather than these tiny doses in tiny caplets. Maybe someday it will be more available at a better price so everyone who could benefit may do just that.I give this feedback because i find this product so helpful! I am very grateful to have it, despite the high cost. I previously gave it only 4 stars because of the high cost, but that seems to be about general social issues. The quality of this product is remarkable, worth 5 stars, and, I feel lucky to have had as much of it as I've been able to afford.

I have been decalcifying my pineal gland for about two years, and wow! I must say I am very pleasantly surprised by the positive affects of this supplement. Specifically, I have been having really cool dreams when taking 2 caps a day, I mean I just go to some amazing beautiful places... And this is only my third day taking it. And it is because of this, day one I took two and had amazing dreams, day two I thought it was just me and only took 1, didn't have very amazing dreams. Day 3, took two and had amazing dreams. I am very pleasantly surprised by the visionary effects of it, even though I was taking a 500 mg dha supplement before of fish oil. I have reason to believe that because I was technically taking dha before ( and a much higher dose, as well) that algal dha has a higher bioavailability than the dha of fish oil. Great for vegans eating for pineal gland health, I am excited to see how much it enhances 6th sense activity, especially after a few months of being on this :) sweet dreams, and namaste c:Oh yeah - I appreciate how there are no gross fillers in this product. Everything in this is totally safe. I swear this may be the miracle supplement I've been waiting for! I was struggling with acne because of eating a lot of pufas and the vitamin e in this has helped clear that up significantly! In only 3days too :D thanks amala!

My eye doctor suggested I start taking fish oil but I wanted a vegan alternative. I received my order on time. There is an obvious smell of seaweed when you open the bottle however I expected that. To me, there is not a terrible taste but I do take it fast. I do not have any issues with any aftertaste. This pill does not make me burp later. I have been taking these pills for a little over a week. I bought this to use as a fish oil alternative for my dry eyes. While I have not noticed any difference with my eyes, these pills are made well and I do not have any complaints about the product.

I am a vegan and was only taking a multivitamin for a while. I started noticing that I was having a hard time with mental recall and maintaining attention so I started taking these. Since then I have noticed a dramatic improvement in those areas. I poke a hole in the pills and squeeze the oil of two pills in my coffee every morning. In my opinion the taste of the oil is mild and tolerable because of the lemon flavor they add. The quantities of EPA/DHA are good and I like that DPA is included. I have decided to keep these because of that instead of using the oil in dropper form with another brand.I rated it five stars, but here are some things I don't like: I'm skittish about taking pills and to me these were intimidating to swallow. I also dont like that there is carrageenan. This ingredient seems common in all vegan algae oil pills.

Love this product! It does have a fishy smell but it's not intolerable. I've taken quite a few doses since my delivery and there is no repeating or burbs. I'm happy with how complete a product it is perfect for Vegans or Whole food plant-based diet as my own. So far NO complaints.... I'm glad I held out to get my product delivered.I have a request, is it possible to deliver your product in the summer with Cool packs????

I have been using other vegan EPA/DHA for a long time. Had never heard of this one before and thus, after comparing the strength (mg of oil/capsule) and the number of capsules, this one came to be a lot cheaper for the essentially the same thing as the other one that I had been using. Thus, thought of giving it a try.Glad to say that I like the product!My only issue (of sorts) has been the capsule appearance and taste, which thankfully doesn't stay in your mouth immediately after swallowing the capsule. Other than that, I would have given it more than 5 stars for its quality and price!And yeah for non-enteric coated product, I am surprised that there are NO "fish-burps" :)
