Worth it
I was rebuilding a robin 2pg engine and had to split the lower case to change crankshaft bearings. This stuff seals good for those jobs that don't use a paper gasket but needs a liquid gasket. The stuff only dries where the air isn't present. A very thin layer in my case still squished out inside and out. I actually had to take it all back apart again to adjust bearing shims and applied less during the final installation.Seeing it squish out just a little bit though verifies you have enough between the mating surfaces.

Perfect case sealant
I use this on all my motorcycle engine rebuilds to seal the cases. Apply on both halves and bolt it together. Best sealant on the market. I’ve never had a leak and will never use anything else. The price is a bit more than other silicone sealants, but having the re-split cases to fix a leak is much more expensive.

Best univeral RTV you can buy
I discovered Yamabond when I was a Yamaha tech in the 90's. It's all I use from then to now. It blows every other RTV out of the water, both in sealing and cleanup. If you ever have to open something up sealed with Yamabond, you can clean it off with a shop rag. It will ball up and roll off. No need to get out the razor blades and chisels and gouge the sealing surfaces.Bonus points for NEVER curing in the tube. Nothing worse than thinking you have sealant at midnight just to learn you have a hardened tube that solidified. With this stuff you get ever drop. Even if it takes a year to use it.It and Yamabond5 (and 6B now) are all I use. Cost more money but they flat out work.

Legit good sealant for engine cases and more.
I used this to seal four engine cases, a Suzuki four stroke ATV and three two stroke Kawasaki jet skis. Great stuff, seals great, perfect consistency and fuel resistant.

Should seal fine, time well tell?
I was actually having leaks from my cases after a fresh, recent rebuild, So I read a lot of reviews & #4 is supposed to be the right stuff to use? Went on smooth, didn't take much & clean-up was easy as a shop rag! I was concerned about the setting time which says one hour & it took me about 45 mins.to install so I hope it cures right...Only time will tell?
