Works good and is flexible but pictures showing mast thread size are incorrect.
I purchased this item to replace a missing antenna mast on my Kubota tractor and it works well. With the included M6 X 1.0 to M6 X 1.0 threaded adapter it screwed right into the existing mount. The radio is new and as there was no existing antenna present I can't do a before and after performance comparison but as it is now I can pick up a number of FM stations clearly so it seems to be doing the job. I'll end with a quibble about the item photos. Several of the photos show the base of the mast with a 5mm threaded hole in it. On the mast I received the hole is threaded M6 X 1.0. The photo of the included threaded adapters seems correct and if the mast was threaded for M5 the adapter for mounting to a M6 antenna base would have a diameter change step in it which it does not.

I like the size, reception is ok
I put this on a 2005 Toyota Tacoma, unfortunately it does not seat fully to the existing antenna base. I used the bolt already in the truck, I tried to remove it but couldn't without feeling like I might break something. If yours is missing or easly removed you might be able to use the pieces provided with the unit to have a better fit. I live in the Phoenix Metro area which is fairly flat and the signal does not come in as good as my other vehicles, could be the radio, could be the antenna, could be differences in types of cars. Overall works fine.

I returned it
I had an antenna that got bad reception. I can get 3-4 stations around town. With this thing I couldn't even get that many. It was worth a shot. Amazon has a good return policy. This just didn't help out any. The problem w/ the radio reception probably involves more than an antenna. Still, I was able to take my old one off pretty easily and put this one on for a head to head comparison. Had this one been better I would have kept it.

Good antenna with flawed short adaptors
The good: This antenna is exactly the right length I was looking for. With whip antennas being stolen these last few years (used as a tool by thieves to break into garages with door openers), I wanted to remove my long whip antenna and replace it with a shorter one that is less likely to be stolen. This one fit the bill and pulls in reasonable radio reception. I consider it to be a win there. The bad: The adapter mounts with the threading are way too short. The bottom hole on the antenna is recessed. The threading for the antenna on my Pathfinder are also recessed. The only way I was able to make this work was to use the threaded adapter from another previously ordered antenna by a different maker. Essentially, I had to sacrifice my old antenna from another car to make this one work. The maker of this antenna really needs to make this antenna available with longer threaded adapters. So now I have to go buy a new antenna for my other car.

Works as good or better than original
It came with multiple adapters to fit different applications. Worked on my makita job site radio.

Suprisingly better
So I accidentally bought this. It turns out it was the same size as my last aerial, and I just guessed the size instead of measuring. I live in some hills and radio reception is pretty trash where I am. So I reeeeally wasn't expecting anything out of this. When replacing an antenna for the same size. I put the radio in the car to a station j should get but don't. As soon as I touched the antenna mount with the new antenna, I was getting the station! Was it clear. Hell no. But it was there no could understand them with some static. But it was infinitely better than the last antenna. Now my radio has been a problem for a long time. I completely replaced the antenna line from the radio with a new one I purchased from the auto parts, didn't really help much. I bought a new head unit, still problems. Installed an antenna booster on the antenna line, a little better. Then strengthened the ground wire to the car, from the head unit, small improvement, but still not getting what I should, and I what I would out of my work truck. So last step, replacement of the new antenna stick, with a different styled but also new antenna stick. This definitely gave a drastic improvement. So it's $10, but was actually the problem. And considerating it's the same size as my last antenna which was also new, it was absolutely an improvement.
