Ok I was a little leery on this being less than $10 but omg worth every penny!!! My kid loves hot wheels and marbles and there are so few options for race style tracks (the $14 gas station race kit didn’t sell me because it looked flimsy) this one is built well though and can be put anywhere for the height, it’s also SUPER POWERFUL! You will definitely need additional track to make it longer, and with the right placement this would work for loops too. My son is 4 and can operate it on his own, but because of the force needed he needs to push both yellow buttons back at the same time because it’s a little stiff if pushing one only and he needs to push down hard on the button but in reality because of the force behind the push this isn’t a bad thing, it makes it worth the effort to have a real race! Highly recommend for anyone looking to keep their kids more hands on with their toys and hours of entertainment! He’s even tried marbles and bouncy balls, don’t let them point to a window though haha it’s that strong

My son and his friends love hot wheels. He got this set for Christmas and I myself enjoyed it so much that I purchased it for a friends son’s birthday gift. Small and compact, easy for travel. Perfect for your little hot wheel lover on the go!

Works well, fun to carry around

Got this for my 4-year-old son who didn't have any tracks yet for his cars. He loves this little case. He can put it together and take it apart himself (except for closing the case as noted below) and likes being able to race two cars. It says it can connect to other Hot Wheels sets so if this one continues to be a favorite, I may get more. Only one thing kept this from being a five star review: the case is difficult for a child to close. You don't just flip the top back into place; rather you have to ever-so-slightly lift it at the hinge to close it properly or else it bends. My son had trouble with this and the top now has white marks where it bent a little when he tried to close it. But other than that it's a great little portable toy.

still around a year later

This product works great for the first week. My three-year-old son would have difficulty closing the case as it must be closed and a certain way. Also, after the first week the spring for the spring action part of the toy broke off and we were not able to find it again. It was fun while it lasted!
