Sturdy cage, worth the price
Needed a second set of hands to put together, but it is a great pen. I use it for my elderly chickens that don’t move well. This will allow them to get out and keep them safe from hawks, so I don’t have to worry about them!

Easy Assembly & Sturdy
Easy to assemble. Quite sturdy when used with zip ties. It’s going to work perfectly for my needs. Will see if it holds up in the weather. Recommend.

Good for what it's intended for
Overall I am pleased with this pen. It is large enough for 5-7 hens. It is more of an Exercise pen than a long term all the time pen. It is Not sturdy enough to keep out dogs, coyotes or raccoons that like chickens. Since it is rather light, I don't think it would even keep out an opossum. It should keep a house cat and skunks out though. The bars are really too wide for what I like, since a snake could easily slide right on through. Since it has not bottom and goes just on the ground, it isn't good for overnight either as a rat could easily get in as well. But if you can't build or afford a Good Chicken Tractor, this works for that for day hours. I would still collect hens and put them inside a better pen overnight. Or ... if you put this pen Inside a better larger pen, than that would work as well.It is pretty easy to assemble, even by yourself. I did it alone. It has some spring stretch clips that help hold it together as you put it up. Other people mentioned adding zip ties and I agree with that idea. I used the orange twine though since I had that on hand already. The tarp they include is Really Flimsy! Hardly worth having. I added a 6 x 8 heavy duty tarp (from Walmart costs about $8 here). Once assembled it is easy to move around to new location. I would do it without hens in it though. I don't like their roosting pole either. It is metal and will be freezing cold in Winter and if the Sun gets to it in Summer, it will be hot. I just used roosting pole I had already.I do not think this pen was ever made to be an all day every day kind of pen. It is made in China, not American made.Like my title says, it is good for what it's intended for, an exercise pen/cheap chicken tractor. Based on what it's made of and the size, I do think it's worth the cost. If I needed another pen, I would buy this one again.

Easy to assemble, great basic coop for 3-4 hens.
This cage is perfect for 3 or 4 chickens.I am a 47 year-old woman and was able to put this together with no assistance. The directions themselves make little sense, but I am pretty handy and was able to determine how it goes together.I will be reinforcing the cage with chicken wire, as the gaps between the bars are large enough for snakes to get through, and possibly big enough for baby chicks to escape. The cage is fairly sturdy, but I will be reinforcing it with zippy ties for additional stability. The tarp isn't heavy-duty, so I will be purchasing a small tarp to protect my hens from the New Mexican sun.Overall, I am pleased with this product. I think it's an inexpensive solution for housing a small flock of backyard chickens.I may even buy another one and connect it to the one I already have.

Great little Chicken Coop but...
My Cochin rooster and Frizzle hen love this coop. I do not leave them in at night because a predator could easily lift it or burrow under it. The canopy cover does little to shade the coop and rain goes right through it so don't trust it to protect your birds from the elements like the ad says. This coop works great as a playpen for a 2 or 3 bantam chickens or 2 standard size breeds. It can be moved easily but doesn't topple over. I would use some more secure stakes to hold it into the ground. Directions were a bit "iffy" but it was easy to figure out how it went together. Took about 5 minutes to set up. I use it for my two chickens I take camping with me. I keep them in this coop during the day and I bring them in and put them in a pop up pet carrier at night. When changing campgrounds I take the coop down, it folds up and put it inside until I get to the next campground. It is definitely worth the money.

Easy to Assemble. Big, Roomy, Secure. My Kitties Love It!
One of the best things I’ve done for my kitties! My two babies are strictly indoor cats. I’m an over protective mom. One of our kitties came to us as a feral kitten. We live in a semi-rural area in Southern Nevada. We have coyotes, hawks, owls, and critters. We took in a feral after searching for her mommy for 3 weeks. She was a wild child, tore lights off the ceiling, and drapes off the walls. She’d howl at the windows. Until we got her fixed. She’s settled down, but still want outside. She’s an escape artist.I would take her right outside the back door and stand over her to make sure she doesn’t run. The first time she ran she was super fast. She outran me and the darn cat was zig zagging, so I couldn’t catch her. She ran into the river bottom where we first found her. It was not a fun day. So, whenever I let her out I have to be totally focused and quick. She immediately rolls in the dirt and then lays there with her eyes floating as though she’s soaking up the earth’s energy. It breaks my heart to have to bring her in.So, with all that said, this coop is the perfect answer. It’s big enough for my two babies. As you can see I placed a cat bed and a house inside. I feed the cats before putting them in, so no food goes in the coop. Food smell will attract “unwanted” critters. They have a big bowl of water and they are so happy out there in the fresh air. I don’t use the cover, because it’s place in full shade. It took my husband less than 20 minutes to assemble. It takes two people during some of the process. For one bracket he had to widen it with needle nose pliers. But, it very easy to put together. There’s two side doors. It’s large enough for several chickens or small animals. *This is important to know*. You must get the additional U shaped spikes to secure the coop to the ground. The coop is portable and without bolting it down a coyote could easily tip it over. Be sure to secure it in the ground! This has been a great purchase and I’m very happy with it.
