Alessi DC06/3 Espresso coffee maker, Aluminium

Bought this during a recent Prime Day and I am very happy with it.Very thick aluminium. Excellent quality and makes tasty coffee very quickly. Easy to clean.

We already have one of these but bought this for a gift. Very well made, a bit more expensive maybe but for sturdiness & durability this is the one for us.

Stove top Italian coffee

This espresso maker is made of high quality materials and is designed and put together really well. The the thread and the seal where the pot comes apart are both robust and leak-proof which makes it easy to use. There's no hissing and spitting as the pot heats up. The spout delivers coffee to the cup effectively with no spills to the side. There is also a well thought out thumb lever for the lid which allows you to hold the pot and operate the lid single handed. The size I opted for was the 3 shot pot which is ideal for me, I like to use a mug with equal amount of hot milk and z spoonful of honey! Delicious.

Like another review on here I too had a problem with the very thin and flimsy funnel on my pot. It creased and puckered up allowing coffee grinds to get into the coffee. It took months of dealing with Alessi Cust Service before it was sorted. First funnel was wrong size (my fault as I told them the wrong cup size!) second funnel arrived crushed as they had removed it from its box to put into a jiffy bag to save on postage. Third funnel finally arrived aok. As I live in the uk and they send vis Swiss postage each funnel took about a month to arrive! I was put off ordering a replacement funnel on Amazon due to poor reviews about the quality of them, hence contacting Alessi direct. However when funnel arrived I could see that it was indeed the same as those being sold on Amazon and its that they are just very thin metal.

Lovely looking, pours very well, the flat top is great for warming the cup, and I haven't noticed some of the drawbacks mentioned by professional reviewers.However, unlike a Bialetti it's very quiet. If you use any more than the bare minimum flame, don't notice it gurgling, and fail to get to the stove in time - it's going to spit copious amounts of boiling coffee through the spout and you're going to have quite a clean-up job in front of you.The squat design and low lid really work against it here. Bialetti have years of experience and use their shape for a reason.I guess this is what happens when you use an architect to design a moka pot.

I bought this coffee maker to replace my old one which lasted me over 10 years (still Alessi)The silicone gasket ring is eternal and does not need to be replaced. In addition to lasting many years, Alessi coffee makers make exceptional coffee.

Excitedly accepted a package today containing this and was disappointed at the quality at first glance, has scratch marks all over which didn’t come off after washing. Yet to try it out and undoubtedly the coffee making itself won’t be affected by the scratches however if this was a gift I’d be inclined to return it.

Si buscas algo diferente al icónico diseño de la Bialetti clásica, adelante.Quería compararla con la Bialetti Rainbow en cuanto a forma y peso. La quiero para llevar en viajes en bicicleta con alforjas. La de Bialetti Rainbow pesa lo mismo, 410 g. Pero la Alessi se mucho mejor: más bajita, la tapa plana es muy útil y el mango de plástico, que es un punto peligroso cuando se hace el café en un hornillo, es mucho mejor en la Alessi porque está orientado hacia fuera. El volumen de las dos es idéntico y los respuestos (el filtro y la junta de goma) son intercambiables.Le doy cinco estrellas porque me encanta el diseño y la construcción.

Ich habe diesen kleinen Espressokocher für drei Tassen gekauft, die Bestellung kam pünktlich, der Kocher war hervorragend verpackt und ist ohne jeden Makel.Mir gefällt die Form, sie wirkt klassisch italienisch und ist doch etwas anders.Lesenswert war die beigelegte Produkt-und Gebrauchserklärung obwohl ich schon ewig Espresso in einer Mini-Alessi zubereitet habe. U.a. wurde erklärt, warum diese Aluminiumkocher ein besseres Geschmacksergebnis haben als die aus Metall gefertigten. Ich selber habe das nämlich schon länger so empfunden.

El objeto por si mismo es muy bello y su manufactura es impecable. Además funciona a la perfección, estamos muy satisfechos con la compra.

Ich habe vier oder fünf solcher Espressokannen ausprobiert und erst diese hat mich überzeugt. Manches ist natürlich Geschmackssache - ich mag die niedrige und breite Form lieber, als eine hohe und schlanke. Die Bedienung ist denkbar simpel, aber das ist bei diesen Kannen meistens so. Was mich überzeugt hat, ist die Qualität des Materials und der Verarbeitung. Hier schlägt die Alessi-Kanne den Marktführer B. um Längen. Das Dichtungsgummi ist nicht aus Kautschuk, sondern aus Silikon, die Guss- und Pressnähte sind praktisch unsichtbar, alles lässt sich sehr gut auseinandernehmen und reinigen. Die Ästhetik ist tatsächlich top: die ungewöhnliche siebeneckige Form ist sehr reizvoll und der matte, graue Glanz des Metalls wirkt viel wertiger, als glänzend silbernes Aluminium. Wenn man bereit ist, zehn Euro mehr für eine Espressokanne auszugeben, lautet meine Empfehlung: strong buy.
