Dr. Dennis Gross Skincare Root Resilience Strengthening Shampoo, 8 Ounce

I have Seborrhoeic dermatitis and this is the ONLY product that works. My scalp is free and clear after using this and I truly couldn’t live without it. It prevents hair loss and promotes growth by clearing out the sludge that lives in my scalp pores. I’ve purchased this hundreds of times and will continue to do so!

This shampoo doesn't really lather, so you're tempted to think it's not working. There is a bit of a tingle when you leave it on your scalp. Didn't improve or destroy my hair. Very middle of the road experience.

Seems to clean well, but it doesn’t get that lather that I look for in a shampoo.

I want to be upfront that I have only used this a few times, and am not commenting on efficacy as a hair growth treatment. Where this fails and does so spectacularly, is as a shampoo. It is simply not a shampoo. Place a small amount in your hand and it applies to hair strangely. a small amount is just lost, it does not lather at all. It does not perform like advertised or in the instructions. It takes a large amount to try and work into the scalp, and after wait and rinse, the hair still feels dirty.

The shampoo arrived quickly. I like many products from Dr Dennis Gross line, but was disappointed in the formula. No amount of shampoo with water added, as instructed, would create any lather. My shoulder length hair was clean, and even after a repeat wash, no lather. It claims to be safe for chemically treated hair, but I found it quite drying, so required a intense conditioner to detangle. It is nice on the scalp.

This plus the conditioner gave my hair the luxury of being able to wear it down in the winter, something I rarely get to do in dry weather. I will keep buying this.

It really does make my hair more manageable and soft, especially since I have entered Menopause and the gray hair I have comes in brittle and my scalp is dry and red at times. However, I wish there was more lather when applying. It seems as if I have to use a lot since I'm not sure if it's actually penetrating my scalp?

I expected more from this shampoo. It didn't really do much in terms of improving my hair or stopping hair loss. Moved on to other brands.
