My Dell Inspiron 15 Model 7568 was failing to charge and giving me the repeated error message that, because the charger/electrical connection wasn't recognized as genuine, my computer would be operating at about half speed. Of course, the charger was in fact genuine. I decided to replace it but not with the one offered by Dell, which would cost $60 at best. I read the one-star reviews of this product, and of some others, with a sense of concern, and I compared and contrasted all of the chargers that claimed to work with my computer or at least with the Inspiron 15. In the end I took my chances and bought it. It was delivered in a day, and it worked perfectly right out of the bag. Manufactured in China (like my computer), it is sold by a mysterious seller -- no real name, no website, no invoice with a return address in the bag -- but it is absolutely identical in appearance to the charger Dell sold me new in 2016. I wouldn't be surprised if the seller were Dell itself (utilizing a separate selling channel) or the OEM manufacturer for Dell (utilizing a right to sell additional units so long as it doesn't infringe any Dell copyrights or advertise its own name). In any case, this product works with my Model so I suspect it will work with yours if its is specifically identified in the product description.

Doesn't charge anymore and was shorting out my laptop. It happened about a week after the return window for amazon closed. Tried to look up the warranty for the seller (Derrick INC) but it keeps going to the amazon policy and the amazon return policy window is closed. So what do I do? I am open to changing the "Stars" on this review from one star to more stars if I can get some help with a return/new power supply...So I was able to find a live chat option that proved to be advantageous. The person on the live chat was wonderful and accommodating. Long story short, I was refunded the amount I paid to my Amazon account and was told to throw away the faulty charger. Thank you!!

Just what my battery needed

Read a bunch of reviews, good and bad on this charger. I know nothing of other's experiences or situations. Several things could I think prompt folks to buy a new charger. Might solve some of their problems but is not the answer to all computer problems. In my case, two day delivery was followed by opening the package then plugging the charger into my Dell Inspiron 13-7000 series laptop that had a new but discharged battery. Turned the unit on and it started without an error message. (The charger I had been using was a generic one from Amazon and was good at first use then stopped charging and later routinely brought up the error message that it was non-Dell and not recognized.) Then I clicked the battery logo, and the popup box said it would take two hours to fully charge. That was correct. Just a day's use since but the charger continues without issues.

Had a customer that was having trouble charging with his aftermarket universal charger. Got him the OEM cable and it works perfectly. Great product!
