I've had difficulty with IBS-D for several years but only recently began taking treatment seriously after a serious episode resulting in hospitalization over Christmas. Small studies show glutamine improved symptoms for subjects vs the control group in all indicators so I decided to give it a try despite the significant cost of this Pure product. It's been a week and things are improving: less frequency, better form, less cramping. I'm also on a probiotic, daily vitamin and eating fermented foods such as kefir, sour dough bread, sauerkraut, and surprisingly aged parmesan cheese. I recommend you dissolve the powder in room temperature water and give it a couple minutes while stirring intermittently to fully dissolve.
