Genuine Mazda (0000-92-41V) Touch-Up Paint, Soul Red

The touchup paint delivered quickly from Morrie’s Mazda, albeit with a high shipping cost. Still, the extra charge is worth it, because it saves a trip to the dealer. The paint works well with the applicator, requiring careful application to avoid overuse. While the color match isn't perfect, it looks good from a distance, effectively covering nicks and prevents rust.

The color is not even close to advertised (titanium flash mica). The paint that I received is more of a silver color which highlights scratches instead of blending them in. I shook it for a long time before using and the color was still wrong, even though the label is correct.

People just have a hard time following directions I guess. First off, if you want the color to match you have the get the right match for your car. Those numbers mean something. Not all Mazda blacks are the same, not all Mazda whites are the same. I shook the stick for a while, popped the cap and went to work. People are complaining about the thin pen like tip, I actually think that is a good thing. It keeps you from releasing too much paint. I painted pin sized chips and I also filled in some bigger dent, even 1/8 inch down to the metal dings and a 3 inch long scrape. A+ product.

Maybe the people complaining about the color match didn’t shake it for a full minute? The 41 matches well for 2016 Mazda 3 soul red metallic. Look in the drivers door jamb for color code to be sure.I found it hard to apply evenly; you have to squeeze the pen pretty hard to get the paint to flow and I couldn’t maintain a smooth flow. The result is a splotchy coat but it’s only noticeable from quite close up.

Don’t buy!!! Shook the pen for several minutes and the paint comes out translucent. Return window closed. I wasn’t in a hurry because it’s a Mazda brand repair pen.

I was ready to return this paint pen because the paint did not flow when pressing in the point end. Then another review that I read said to SQUEEZE the stick while pressing down. That did the trick. After 10 minutes of application, the color is still about 5 shades too light of a match unfortunately.UPDATE: My mistake, I thought that this Soul Red 41V was for my 2021 CX-5 but I need the 46V to match!

Product is exactly what i expected, and they wrapped it well to prevent damage or leaks.
