Works great!
I had struggled with facial hair for a long time...mainly my upper lip. I began to tweeze the hairs I thought were the darkest but I still wasn't totally satisfied with this method.I always felt self conscious about my facial hair when talking to someone closely. I turned to Amazon to see what kind of a solution I could find. I was close to buying hair removal cream but I had a bad experience in the past and got burned.I saw the great reviews about Bellabe and decided to give it a try. I tried it out last month when I had a few days off from work. In case anything went wrong I would have time to look semi ok again. I tried it out on a Saturday. Yes, it was painful because it was removing so many hairs at once. Learning how to twist it takes practice but its doable. By far the most painful area was right under the nose. I won't lie...I had tears streaming down my face because of the hairs being removed there. After I finished, my upper lip was a little irritated and red and I thought it was a normal reaction. The next day on Sunday I had a small pimple appear on my upper lip. Then on Monday I had another pimple show up. I sort of panicked because I thought I had an allergic reaction but the 2 pimples appeared right under my nose area which is the most sensitive. By Wednesday my pimples had cleared up. I emailed Bellabe customer service about my the pimples. They quickly replied and suggested I use witch hazel before and after using Bellabe. It was also suggested that I clean the Bellabe each time with rubbing alcohol. Other than the pimples I was satisfied with the results.I decided to try it again with the advice I was given and haven't had any pimples or issues again. After using it continually it gets easier and less painful. The first time is definitely the toughest because so many hairs are removed at once.Every now and then I need to use my tweezers to remove a couple of hairs that I wasn't able to get with the Bellabe. I'm still working on improving the twisting method.I really like this little gadget. It works great. It's easy to use, affordable and you can do it in the privacy of your home. I only use it once a week and I've noticed that the hairs that grow out seem lighter and they all don't grow out at the same time. I worried about the hair regrowth because I didn't want it to be so obvious but it really isn't. I am satisfied with the product and definitely recommend it.

I recommend it.
It works great. It hurts, but no duh-- it's plucking out hairs. My skin was red for only a few minutes after use. The pain didn't linger. My upper lip is so smooth. Way more effective than tweezing. Just don't take your time doing it. No pain no gain.

After six months, I've discovered that Bellabe is both a noun and a verb!
Shay here: I have always dealt with a lot of hair on my face. My skin is pale, and a lot of my facial hair is dark, so, ugh. Bleaching just makes for a lot of blonde hair on my upper lip, which still gets noticed. Ugh. Waxing has literally burned me and those cream hair removers don't agree with my skin. Shaving is just weird for me, and grows back fast with little dark stubbles. Ugh. Laser is expensive. What's a gal to do?Enter Bellabe. I figured I give it a try. I liked the reviews, and I like the fact it is made in the USA, which helps support the economy here, and also reduces the chances that something weird in the wire, like a maybe a chemical coating if it came from China. So I figured I would use it for six months before I posted my review, so I could see how it works over time. The Good: It works. It gets most of the hairs out. I have found that the coarse hairs on my chinny chin chin can be more difficult, but since it gets the massive horde of fine hairs I don't have a problem with getting the few left. I bought a Tweezerman tweezer and it works great for this purpose. I use a magnifying mirror and check. Also getting the hairs right under my nose can be a problem too, and again must tweeze. Also I found the learning curve easy.Even better: I look good and smooth, and makeup applies so much more smoothly. I look in the evil magnify mirror and do not shudder nearly as much. The Bad: It hurts! The first time I did this I wanted to cry. It is most painful on the upper lip and right below the lip, and the closer to the lips the ouchier. I have had a lot of dental work lately, so when I would have to take a serious pain med (which I try not to do unless really necessary), I'd use the opportunity to Bellabe away as well. Sweet numbness. But naturally I can't be doing that often (as dental work has finally ended). I have found if I Bellabe every day or two, it is better, keeps things not as painful, and much smoother. So I try to make it part of my nightly routine. Also the cheeks and outside jaw area don't hurt at all.Even badder: Contrary to many reviewer here, I don't see my hair diminishing or the hairs themselves becoming thinner. Ugh. Maybe that will change eventually. A gal can hope, yes?I have found that the Bellabe loses effectiveness over time, maybe four or five months. Maybe that's because I have to use it so much. But it is cheap enough to replace, and cheaper than the salon by far. I just write the date I start using in on the tube it comes in to keep track.I paid full price for both the Bellabe and the Tweezerman, this is *not* one of the astroturf fake reviews that are oozing their way through the Amazon experience. I gave four instead of five stars because even though it works and is inexpensive, I just can't get myself to award the fifth star to something that hurts so much. No pain no gain is the motto with Bellabe.

I really love Bellabe for facial hair removal!
This is my second Bellabe. They are the best facial hair remover! Yes, it is a bit painful at first, but you get used to it. I find it much more effective than any facial razor because this removes it at the root.
