This game is extremely fun and truly teaches a child or an adult to understand how Gravity affects the steel ball bearings and how bridges work! It also teaches a child how to follow instructions and ultimately, their own imagination. I’m a senior and my grandson is 11. I recommend purchasing the large starter kit first, then decide on these extensions.

A button press elevates a stack of marbles so another ball is started around the track. This is good for tracks with elements that don’t need to be reset so one can have multiple balls on the track at once. There are 3 stackable elevation tubes so the level of ball elevation is somewhat settable. You can rotate the output but not the input so one can wind up with a button that’s awkward to press. Still it’s a great addition to a set, it works well, is reliable, and there’s not much else that would take the place of this. I’d buy it again. It adds a lot of flexibility to a track setup and doing a button press is certainly more convenient and quicker than placing a marble at the top of a run by hand.

The media could not be loaded. I think this is an underrated expansion set. It works really well and is able to make perpetual marble runs really easily, just as long as you can press the lift button. It is really handy that it comes not just with the lift but also with some height tiles and rails. Also it is really useful that you can point the exit in any direction (but not in the Gravitrax app). If you want to lift the marble automatically, invest in the Gravitrax elevator power element. But if you are okay with some interaction, this might be your expansion!

We love gravitrax. My 9 year old got the starter kit last year and we love it. I love the continued expansions and being able to build these marble runs. Great quality. Definitely recommend for anyone who loves to build.

My 11 year old son received these for Christmas and loves them. They are pretty sturdy, easy to put together and take apart.He can build pretty quickly with these and if there is something not working it’s much easier to fix than with traditional marble tracks.

Gift for a 6-year old and he loves it. He intuitively put pieces together as I was trying to understand the instructions! Great for creativity, thinking through hazards and workable routes and probably a little bit of engineering. I'm so glad he loves it.

I set this up to be the launch point for my trax system. The balls go through several switches before returning back to the base of the launcher. This enables me to easily launch several balls into the system at once and watch them scurry around the track configuration. Since all the balls return back to the base, it is easy to relaunch them again (and again). If you put a black riser block and one track piece in before the launcher, you should be able to line up a bunch of balls for the launcher.If you need a merger piece, you can take the green switch off of a switch piece and have two trax merge that way.
