Iconica 1000W 12V hybrid pure sine wave inverter with 40A MPPT solar charge controller and 20A mains battery charger - ideal for off-grid applications, uninterrupted power supply

I decided to buy this instead of separate inverter and solar controller. Not disappointed with the functions of the unit at all. The only thing is the fans are a bit loud when they come on, I would recommend putting this in a cupboard to deaden the noise. Also read the manual before to get the best out of this unit.

I had high hopes for this little device but i ended up with just an expensive inverter/charger. Upon intially installing this in my camper van i noticed i was getting lower charge rates than with my Victron charger and when compared i found the Unit wasn't coming out of float mode. I adjusted settings ect and no dice so contacted to return as faulty. I was told they would not accept it as faulty and would only take the return as an unwated item giving a maximum 80% return of the price paid and this was over a large number of email of me trying to get it returned.I've had it in my camper for around 1 month now and tried plenty of settings that their support has suggested but no dice. It's hard to belive that PU can't accept that some units really are just faulty....Save your money and buy elsewhere.--Update--I recived an email from their head engineer regarding more tests, to sum it up he said " For the Iconica inverter chargers that you have this threshold will be 12.0V. In other words, please use your battery power, discharge it well – the lower the better, I’d recommend to about 11.3V - 11.5V"So its not suitable for offgrid use as it will not charge your batteries with a "bulk" charge unless you discharge below 12v, hence the problem i'm having. This in turn means you will not have the power available if you experience cloudy days as the batteries won't have been charged until they were fully depleted.--Update--New firmware rectified alot of the issues with this unit now you can specify a voltage to start a bulk charge again.

Apart from the useless IU and the almost unusable software this unit function fine.However this evening it set off my alarms as it had decided to release the magic smoke.Im lucky that i was present or fear this could have burned my boat.I will re install my Victron gear.

Hybrid Inverter does everything we need in our campervan. The seller, Photonic Universe, are excellent. We initially had an issue where the inverter would not kick in when we disconnected from mains power. Photonic Universe, stepped right up... They organised a courier to pick it up and fixed it the day they recieved it and sent it back to us the same day... Service, par excellence... Would very highly recommend...

We used this UPS to provide a buffer between us and the grid. This is just a decent UPS, add whatever size battery bank you like to it and you have a great seamless backup. No power drop as it changes source from mains to battery. Support from Photonic Universe is of a high standard too.

Added this to my motorhome. Wotks perfect for running the fridge off 12v while I'm driving. Cant comment on longevity but working great so far

Arrived within 2 days of ordering, easy setup(using mine in UPS mode)charges batteries from solar, runs load from solar and batteries(day light hours) then uses grid power for charging batteries and load at night. adjustable settings or leave in default setting.

After many cheap Chinese charge controllers and always struggling with power, I bought this unit and honestly couldn't be happier.My batteries are now charged before I wake up and that's with a 12v fridge running 24/7 I have a large 330w house solar panel on my sailboat and I was only getting around 6/7amp with the Chinese pwn controllers. I've seen this one giving 18 amps to the batteries, could be more but as I say my batteries are charged before I wake up.Problem solved and I hear the customer service is top notch as well
