Great oil for 6.4 hemi
0w40 redline is getting hard to find, so I am buying it up when I find it

Best oil for 6.4 Hemi
I own a Dodge Challenger with a 6.4 Hemi, some may think that this oil is expensive, but if you care about the logrvety of your engine this is a must. PAO, Easter core base with extra Zinc, Phosphorus and a great additive package with Calcium, manganese, moly, boron etc... I can't say enough, but it's the best for your English ne,even better than Amsoil Signature. Extra protection is never a bad things Ng, and good o100 percent synthetic base stocks keeps your engine carbon free. Always run your Hemi on Sport mode, and for the Track use Track mode, never run the MDS on 4 Cylinders, you will develop un-even wear, and lifter tick. You want your Hemi to run happy, smith, and zero lifter tick. Use redline Easter core how gh zinc, not to confuse with the version sold at the Auto parts.

One of the few premium options for a heavily modified turbo Diesel engine
One of the things that gets neglected when modifying a vehicle is the reconsideration of what engine oil will work best given your modifications. If you greatly increase the torque output of any engine, but are relying on the original factory lubrication system - you run the risk of ultimately doing damage to your crank and thrust bearings. My BMW 335d (diesel) in stock form puts out around 420 lb ft of torque measured at the flex plate. That particular inline 6 lends itself well to modifications once you address the emissions systems that tend to plague both the 335d and the X5 35d variants with so many issues. When those issues are sorted, and the appropriate tune is applied, that 3.0 liter turbo-diesel can produce over 600 lb ft of torque at the wheels, and about 370 whp (up from 270 at the crank) - using stock fuel pumps, internals and turbos. It can produce much more with upgrades to fuel delivery and turbo chargers... but those mods double the cost.Nevertheless, with a stock lubricating system, there is no way the stock BMW approved synthetic oil can keep up with the increased bearing loads. The OEM BMW certified oil is a 5W30, with a HTHS of around 3.4 - 3.5. With a significantly increased amount of torque, that number needs to be much higher to provide separation between bearings and the crank. During the summer here in Florida, I run Redline 5W40, because it has a HTHS of 4.4. During the cooler months, I run the 0W40, with a HTHS of 4.0. The difference is notable and the engine is much smoother under the highest loads. There is no other oil currently available that can provide such a high HTHS while staying in grade. I used to be an Amsoil dealer (for my own personal use) and one of the reasons I cancelled my dealership was because Amsoil essentially stopped supporting the modified market due to liability concerns, and through slowly and continually decreasing the HTHS and NOAK values for their products over the past decade or so. Ultimately, Amsoil no longer produces an oil that could provide the HTHS necessary for my modified Diesel, without moving up to a 20W50. Redline has made changes to their formulation as well, to include shortly after being bought out - but the formulation changes reduced production costs while preserving performance. I am now a Redline convert based on the results I have personally seen.

best oil there is
0w40 is perhaps the best formula grade there is for auto standards... of course, some cars ask for other viscosities, but for people who know what motor oils are, what they do, what they're meant for and what are they made of, this is the best formula all around peerformance. Redline is perhaps one of the 5 best motor oil makers, they go hardcore for the enthusiast, they dont put cheap on the inside; some brands put a lot of marketing and bells in their bottle case, yet the oil inside the bottle is where they make the savings, red line does exactly the opposite.

Not worth the price in high horsepower applications
Oil was completely shot at 3k miles running in a 6.1 hemi on E85. It looked much worse than the cheaper Penzoil designed for SRT engines.

Outstanding high performance oil - worth the price!
Redline is an ester-basestock oil (has polar molecules) that will adhere to the internal engine components after the engine has been shut down. I never get any valvetrain noise on startup even when the car's been sitting for a few weeks, even in the New England winters -- engine also seems to run smoother (I don't have any empirical data to prove this) -- never saw this on other premium oils I've used (Mobil 1, Fuchs (I had to bring this back from Canada), Motul 8100) although they all had good used oil analysis results (Blackstone Labs). My car is an '07 Porsche Boxster S (8 liter sump), and since this is mid-engine, I can hear a lot from the engine. Great oil, and I highly recommend it.

One of the very few high quality oils that carry Dodge/ Ram approval
Was delays on shipping. Arrived almost a week later than what showed. Not a life/death sistutuon of product.Performed oil change on a 2018 Ram 2500 with gas 6.4 Hemi. 7 quarts and Mobile 1 extended oil filter.
