JACO Deluxe Tire Pressure Gauge - 100 PSI

Worked fine at first. Then the pressure release mechanism somehow stopped working. The meter registers when connected but 'forgets' as soon as disconnected.Update:I ordered the same product as a replacement. Shortly receiving the replacement, the seller sent me an apologetic message and then voluntarily refunded the purchase price of the replacement. Since seller is trying to repair the relationship, I will do likewise. I'm boosting the rating from two stars to four.Yet ANOTHER Update ....Turns out the pressure release problem is common enough that there's a recommended corrective procedure. Had I BOTHERED TO READ the instruction card INCLUDED IN THE BOX, I would have known about the simple fix. Raising the star rating to max.

Sturdy, compact and efficient. Those are just three of the four words I would use to describe this gauge. I think everyone should have one of these. See, you can get one of those pen-shaped ones that will achieve just about the same thing. You can check the pressure, then flip it over and use that little peg on the back to release some air pressure, rinse and repeat. Heck, they even come with a pocket clip so you can carry it around in your shirt pocket like a Tire Pressure Boss. But the key word there is "like". If you want to be a real TPB, you need a JACO Superior Deluxe Tire Pressure Gauge.I'm not sure what makes it Deluxe. Maybe they have a whole line of these, and the model below this doesn't have the PRV on it or something. But I do know what makes it superior. This, friends, is a high quality tire pressure gauge. It has a rubber shock guard on it. It's sturdy and rugged. It looks like it could take quite a beating. It feels good in your hand, and seems to be the exact right size for comfort and utility. But most importantly, it works. And it's accurate.The fourth word I would use to describe it is 'red'. It's red underneath that shock guard. And that's just an added bonus, because it matches my Jeep. I thought the ladies loved me before, when I rode around in my Jeep with the doors off. But now, with this SDTPG peeking out of my shirt pocket like a TPB, the ladies can no longer help themselves.

Seems sturdy. Air pressure is accurate. Seeing how long it lasts. Easy to use. Easy to read. Rubber grip.

Had been using digital units for years and thought I'd try an analog gauge where I don't have to worry about batteries. Unfortunately, I received a Jaco unit that hadn't been calibrated. After releasing pressure/resetting the gauge, it never goes to zero. It goes to 16.5-18.0 psi. So each time I used it, I had to subtract ~17psi to get a semi-accurate reading. Horrible first experience with a Jaco product!
