Cracks have developed on both edges despite light and considerate use
Hello, the product looks nice. It is made in Japan, out of a single piece of wood, not several strips glued together. I have had it for four months so far and used it very lightly in my home kitchen, for cutting fruit and vegetables. I always followed the care instructions carefully. (For example, I never left it wet or dirty, never used harsh detergents on it, and, of course, never put it in the dish washer.) I just noticed that cracks have begun to develop along both edges. I fear these will grow larger and am disappointed to see this issue occur after so little time, with such light and careful use.

Next level cutting experience
It is very light and of manageable size. Once wet, it releases a wonderful scent of cypress. The cutting experience is different from other boards, even butchers blocks. It is smoother and I had the feeling that the knife was gliding on the surface. I had another hinoki board before, but that was not a one piece solid wood (as this one), and the cutting experience was the same as with the other boards. I highly recommend this solid light board.

Cher, mais ça vaut largement le prix
La planche est étonnement épaisse et légère. Elle est simplement un morceau de hinoki, du bois de très haut qualité du japon.Elle résiste bien à l'eau. Très facile à nettoyer. Rien à voir avec les planches plastiques. A recommander!

Great cutting board.
Fantastic board. Got it for my new set of expensive knives. The wood is soft and gets cut marks, but hopefully keeping my knives sharp. What’s a great surprise, even though i leave them a bit wet due to cutting/washing sometimes, no warping at all!! And fantastic smell when they arrive.

Pas besoin de la huiler, je l'humidifie légèrement avec la main et après un bon coup d'éponge, une fois par semaine je la lave au savon.
