1st time buyer will purchase again
Received a thick trunk and 2 smaller branches wrapped in a damp paper towel... put them all in a jar with water and with in a week started to see root nodes and then 1 week later nice root growth and leaves forming... just planted in some light warrior soil for their first week of soil and will move to ocean forest... looking forward to shaping my little trees since all 3 that were sent to me are taking off.... will buy from again

Will not transplant
I have bought this three different times in the past few years. I have followed your instructions, word for word. They root and shoot up so fast in the water bath but the second pot them they die. The branches fall off and the cutting turns black. You need better instructions or better plants. I was excited to start a bonsai but it never works out with your cuttings. Very disappointing. Will not buy from this business again.

AWESOME! And, fast growing! YOU DEFINITELY WANT THIS!
I'm cutting and pasting my review for this company's other Bonsai plant that I bought. Both are great and something you really want ... if you want lush greenery in your house or arboretum. So, here is what I said about their Dwarf Bonsai plant ... this one is the same thing ... AWESOME!So, what shows up is something like a stick with a moist paper towel around the bottom. When I order this (and the other one - the Dragon Bonsai), I figured, "Okay, if this is stupid, I'll send it back." But, hey, it showed up like I said. I immediately put it water and overnight there was green growth popping out ... A LOT of green growth and roots, too. With each new day, MORE NEW GROWTH and LOTS OF ROOTS. I had ordered pots to put them in, but the pots were delayed (thank you, COVID-19!) ... anyway, by the time the pots show up a week later, there was over four inches of green, lush growth and roots, roots, and more roots. I planted them and now they're really growing! The way these "sticks" grow reminds of what I do with Dieffenbachias ... over the years, I have started several new Dieffenbachia plants the same way. You just slice the stalk of the plant, put it in water and it starts growing a new plant!

this one didn’t do so well. arrived with passengers!
i’ve purchased cuttings here several different times. This one just seems to be failing to thrive, cuttings i received more recently have blown by this on in growth and health. I will keep caring for them and we will see. I think my biggest complaint with any of these willow cuttings. They come with spider mites always and we’re particularly bad on this willow. That may be the culprit. I really don’t think i will buy anymore from here because of the mite problem, it has been a hassle getting rid of them, keeping them quarantined, etc. I hope they address this.

Been doing very well.
Since date of purchase I ordered 3 dragon willows and a 4th was given as a just incase from cz grains. So far they've been doing extremely well. Lots of growth so far. Been following thier directions on the begining to the soil which I used Fox Farms Ocean Forest, also used mulch on the top layer to help keep moisture in so the soil doesnt dry out. I use very little fertilizer mix when watering not to hurt the roots. I would say its been a couple months so far. Added photos from begining to current. Will update as the year progresses.3/22/23Updated photos. Growing well, started to train 2 of them and prepping to place in bonsai pots.Since purchase they grew quickly. Please make sure to follow CZ Grain directions. Since I've used Fox Farms Ocean floor soil ive been having good luck with plants and they seem to take to that particular soil than miracle grow which I will only use with basic flowers. Not my bonsai trees.

Maybe It's a "Bad Egg"?
I ordered this and the Australian Willow trunk cuttings. The Australian was immediately beautiful and healthy, I was (and still am) so impressed! It's growing beautifully. But this Dragon clipping? 😢 Pretty sad. Upon opening the pkg it had a scraggly root that disintegrated when I put it in clean filtered water to start.I don't think this is the standard for this business, but I'm really sad it hasn't recovered. And while the other trunk and 2 gift/freebie clippings are all flourishing, I'm guessing I got a rare fluke or it was damaged during shipping... Unsure of how to proceed.

Wow 🤩
Simply beautiful! Arrived with a few small roots already sprouted!! Definitely buying from them again! I’m so excited to watch all of them grow. Thought I was getting one and got 3!! A nice big thick cutting and two slim ones, one of the slim ones has small roots already and already producing at the top! Best $15 I’ve spent so far this year!! Got a few friends who might buy some once they see how mine look in a month!!Update as of 14th of August, 2020: Both cuttings have started growing more roots and started producing leaves. A piece broke off one of the cuttings during shipping, I guess, so I put it in the water too. It finally started producing one very small root. I couldn’t be more happy with the amazing results that I have seen in ONE WEEK!! I highly recommend CZ Grains. Constantly brag about my dragon willows on Snapchat 😁
