I do not work in healthcare myself, but have many family members that do. I'm very thankful for the authors who wrote this book. I lost my grandfather to a terrible preventable harm event. The harm extends deeper than words can express.I have also watched my mother's (a nurse) tears and pain from experiencing an error that contributed to the harm of a patient. A scar she holds close to her always. My sister is also studying to be a nurse. Zero Harm is the antidote to a culture that has lead to harm for many. My hope is that she can work in a culture that supports her caring and brilliant mind!For these reasons, I am encouraged that healthcare has within their reach the Zero Harm book, a true guide to culture change!
