New Open Box Teknion Nuova Contessa Task Chair

I admit I came across this deal and had my reservations, great chair at a seemingly too good price ... come on right. After weeks of continuing to look for a new chair, weighing different qualities, prices, and the sheer unknowns of chairs I had never tried ... I kept coming back to this deal. Now I have one of the older versions of this chair (Teknion Contessa) in my office at work and it works for me ... it's a solid chair and it has many ergonomic bells and whistles too ... so I gambled on this deal. Luckily, all my fears were alleviated as soon as I received the shipment, opened the box, and began surveying the product. Now I have had this chair over 9 months and all I can say is ... it's not only a solid chair, but a hell of a deal too. Thanks

Chair is amazing. Well built, comfortable, and extremely ergonomic. I was missing a part, it appeared that the shipper abused this particular box as to box was pretty mauled but the contents were well packaged so no damage incurred. Contacted shipper, who maintained very good professionalism and sent out a replacement part as soon as the correct missing part was identified. Will do business with them again.

Shipping was fairly quick, but chair was not packaged well since the box was punctured with a few holes although there was no damage to the chair. I was disappointed with this model since it did not have the same feel and support like my Teknion (2019) office chair at work. Also, no instructions came with my chair so I had to search online on how to use/adjust this chair.

Received with very prompt shipping. It arrived with a very damaged box, but the internal packaging saved the chair. This was exactly what I expected. No blemishes or dents. Nothing wrong with the surface finish. It definitely looks like the chair just arrived from the factory. Setup was extremely easy. I only need a single Allen wrench for the last step, and that wrench was included in the packaging. Very pleased with this product.

This is a great chair at about 40% less than retail, probably because of the open box. Nothing was missing or scratched and it was very easy to assemble. I consider this a real find, and not a Chinese company. I believe Technion is Canadian.

I could not have asked for a better experience. Why pay full price when you can pay half price?

I have used this chair now for a week and nothing but back pain do to the lumbar support. No matter where I position it was not comfortable and after a while the back pain. Then I realize it looks like the pad in the back is angled wrong. The bottom curve of the lumbar support is what press against my back not the flat part. I emailed WB Office Shop and their answer was to remove the lumbar support. :-( So much for a full functioning chair.

Nothing new to add, just reaffirming other reviews are still current as of 2024, namely:- box was mangled despite "FRAGILE" tape plastered all over.- my seat pan was damaged in transit by UPS. I reached out to WB Office Shop and Walter was helpful and sent out a new seat the next day.- this price is a great deal - brand new $1200+ chair for ~$600 after taxes.Quick note - WB Office Shop does offer the same chair in all black through their own website (Google will get you there) for the same price and free shipping offered on Amazon.Also - nothing wrong with Chinese products... but while Teknion is indeed a Canadian company, this chair is a licensed version of a Japanese chair - the Okamura Contessa II.
