Works great!
I bought this zero clearance insert for my table saw and it's great. It fits perfectly and makes my cuts much smoother and more accurate, with less damage to the wood. It's also really durable and has made my work safer by preventing small pieces from getting caught in the saw. Installing it was easy and it's like it was made for my saw. This insert has really improved my woodworking. I highly recommend it!

Oh well ¯\_(ツ)_/¯my luck.
Excellent product, fit, form and function. Holes were dead on. Install was easy because of good manufacturing.Only one but and i'm only being picky here.It did not come in yellow, for my DWS779 sliding miter saw. It came in brown :-(It is so well made that it deserves to come in yellow. It does say that color may vary. Oh well ¯\_(ツ)_/¯my luck.I do recommend this product if you don't mind what color you get.

Much better workpiece contact.
Great addition to DWS779. The factory throat plate doesn’t line up exactly with saw’s metal base; this does. It’s perfectly flush, giving you more solid positive surface contact (especially with smaller pieces) for a higher degree of cut accuracy. It’s also much more rigid, decreasing the flex and slight give of the factory plate. The surface material is very hard, like a smooth melamine that is thicker than what you’d find on sheet stock. The zero clearance this provides, coupled with a high quality standard kerf blade, seems to reduce tear-out. It doesn’t eliminate it, but does seem to reduce it.I wish I could pick the color, but that wouldn’t stop me from ordering this for another saw.

Great Product
This insert is fantastic. It has a very sturdy and stable feel. It fits in place very nicely and the mounting screw holes all lined up perfectly. They even slightly recessed the back where the product sticker is so that the thickness of the sticker doesn't shim the insert on you. The yellow color is slightly off from that of Dewalt, but it is pretty darn close and really not even worth mentioning. Great quality. I generally make my own inserts but when I saw this I thought the price is right, lets give it a try. Very happy with it. Also bought one for my father.

You Wont’t Regret Buying It
UPDATE: Hopped on Amazon to order a 2nd one for beveled cuts and am upset to see they’re currently unavailable. I standby my original review of this amazing zero clearance insert.I’ve owned the 12” Dewalt Sliding Miter with the XPS Cutting Light for several years (DWS 780) and have always loved using it. The only 2 negatives I’ve ever had with it are that Dewalt doesn’t make a zero clearance throat plate or fence for the saw to eliminate tear out on the backside of cuts. I had to rely on using painters tape on the backside of plywood and melamine, a very time consuming process. For this particular model of miter saw, there was only one or two aftermarket options and they were very pricey. I was ecstatic when Leecraft started making one and bought it right away. The results have been flawless. No tearout on the bottom of my plywood cuts. Now if only I could find an inexpensive option for a zero clearance fence...

Fits well, but not perfect.
The holes and everything line up, there's no front or back, but there is some slop in the insert. So I would recommend if you ever have to remove the insert and put it back in, lock the blade down in the insert so that it holds the insert where it was when the original cut was made. Makes a really clean edge though so no complaints there.
