Nursing Laboratory and Diagnostic Tests DeMYSTiFied

I found this book pretty complete and fairly easy to navigate. I am a retired RN and take care of my elderly mother. Even though I'm not working anymore as a nurse, I find friends who have questions about tests that have been run or medications they're on or signs and symptoms they're having, so I like to stay up to date as much as possible so I don't give them the wrong information. The book, paperback, was used but met the description by the seller. It was delivered promptly in very good condition. I was very pleased.

It was too basic and didn’t have enough information in it for healthcare professionals. It is good for non-medical layperson.

I usually have like the DeMystified series, However this one does not give enough information. I needed information on several lab values that the information was not available. I had to purchase another book to get the information I needed. Was disappointed

I thought this was just ok because the book doesn't go into very good detail about the different diagnostic tests. For example I was trying to explain what the anion gap part of an ABG means and there was no mention of it in the book. I think that the explanations could be more detailed.

I ordered this book as a reference to use while at work. I work on a hospital OB unit. It really doesn't explain why the tests are done and correlate it to disease pathophysiology. If all you want is normal lab values it's okay.

After returning to practice from a 2 year break, I have find this book easy to use, refreshing the memory of tests that are more in use now than in the past. Its easy to follow. Its not a thorough text book. It does what it says demystifies tests. A good choice for me

Nice colourful book but it is American and so uses different units for lab testing so not a very useful guide for in the UK - returned the book but I didn't get my postage refunded which they said I would and expensive to return.

This is a great book, easy to learn and understand lab test's I will keep this book for reference.
