Joyce Chen 2-Tier Bamboo Steamer Baskets, 10-Inch

Used this with excellent results. Read the instructions first because I placed too much water in my pan and it did mess up my first layer. The second layer was excellent and just as expected.

First of all? This was packaged and delivered perfectly. They used a pleasant feeling thin, 6 foot "rope" to carefully, cleverly, and beautifully hold the steamer together securely. Even better? NO KNOTS! With one pull of the woven rope/string, the steamer was released. It was delightful, showing care for the product and the customer. My second immediate thought is how well it was made compared to my old steamer from years ago. The older one worked fine, but was made of thin bamboo, kind of woven inside on the trays themselves. The best word would be flimsy looking and feeling. It still WORKED, but it was unattractive and looked hastily assembled. This Joyce Chen steamer? Was just beautiful looking, inside and out, using thicker bamboo, and the trays were much sturdier. Frankly, I was delighted by the entire "receiving" experience of this steamer. Care for the customer was obvious, something I see in videos about, for example, Japan, but rarely seen in local manufacturing. It also came with sensible care instructions. I haven't written a review in a few years. I did for this product, because, not only was I delighted? They inspired care reciprocated. I haven't used it yet, but I'm very familiar with using bamboo steamers, and I'm positive it will work beautifully. Love this.

I bought this 2-tier bamboo steamer for my mom, and she absolutely loves it! The quality is excellent—sturdy, well-made, and easy to clean. She’s used it for dumplings, buns, and vegetables, and everything cooks evenly with that nice, authentic steamed flavor. The two tiers make it easy to cook different foods at once, which she really enjoys. It’s such a beautiful, practical gift that adds a traditional touch to her kitchen. Highly recommend!

I've used it quite a bit and it works great, but the lid has started to have issues holding together. It fits back together fine, but I've taken care of it so I'd expect it to hold together better

"The steamer was incredibly easy to use right out of the box. Following the instructions, I put a pot of water on the stove and set the basket on top. The two tiers were fantastic; I was able to cook shrimp dumplings in one basket and some vegetables in the other at the same time, which saved a lot of time. The bamboo absorbed the right amount of steam, and the heat was very consistent throughout the entire cooking process."

Haven't used it yet but at first look and feel its gorgeous, and sturdy. By the looks of things 100% worth the $$$. There is two of us and this is roomy, 4 or more go for a larger one.

Muito bom. Bonito e bem acabado. Funciona perfeitamente. Retem o vapor durante todo o cozimento. Recomendo. Fiz pão chinês e gruda um pouco. Estou comprando esteiras perfuradas de silicone, redondas, para evitar isso. Não sei se tem algum outro recurso.

Tamaño adecuado, buen grosor del papel, son útiles también en otro tipo de vaporeras como las de silicón. Me siento satisfecha

Bought this and love the baskets. They work really well for cooking vegetables and gyoza particularly. Put baking paper in to cook gyoza or bao buns and came out really nicely. Can recommend this product.
