works with t mobile as cell phone
I put a t mobile cell phone sim in this tablet and made a cell phone call with no problem. The screen is beautiful.I bought it for high resolution, I wanted to use this with the dji osmo pocket camera and I was able to get it to connect to the pocket via wifi. BUT the ALLDOCUBE M5 Tablet, has a USB 2.0 connection SO it doesn't really work for what I bought it for.... so it's going back. It would be perfect if it had HDMI out and USB 3.0

A Budget Tablet That Has a Few Bells ( and a Whistle ) For the Price
I got the Alldocube M5 to ( Semi ) retire the Lenovo Tab 2 A 10-70 Tablet which I have for three years now,and I wasn't disappointed with the device. However, and this is the only blip, the bezels was a bit big, but I'll manage. The 2650*1600 resolution is a dramatic improvement from the 1900*1200, it runs Oreo ( way more fluid than Marshmallow, and I hope Alldocube gives it a Pie Upgrade, if not, I'm still impressed with Oreo's performance ). The sound is a bit iffy, but a good third party app ( I use jetAudio Plus with AM3D and Bongiovi ) and a good Bluetooth Speaker can help out. I wish there was a way to open the plastic panel to put in a MicroSD card without blistering your fingers because it will happen. The back is metal, it does have a Premium feel to it ( that's the whistle in the description). If you looking for a great replacement for any budget tablet ( that is still stuck in Marshmallow ( or Nougat )Territory ) and you don't want to severely break your piggy bank, or a name you're not familiar with ( like Trio or Insignia to name a few ), than the Alldocube M5 is THE budget tablet with a handful of bells...and a Whistle,( the metal back ) that won't disappoint you.

I'm liking this tablet.. (edit) Now, not so much.. power switch problems, 3 units
(Edit) My first three units that I bought for my own use have died. One had the power switch gradually become inoperative. The second unit began turning itself off at random intervals (power sw?) and soon would power down within seconds of logging in. A third unit was fine through a few days ago, but today it refuses to power up or show a battery indication. When they worked, they were great! Now, not so great!

Compared to an iPad.
I just received it it was brand new sealed. The first thing I always do is charge it up and do a factory reset. That way you always get a good clean first time setup.I found it easy to set up with the Wi-Fi and it runs very fast. So far it's easy to use Touch Screen responses fast and downloads and software running great.UpdateAfter 2 weeks installing apps streaming movies I must say it can definitely give a Apple iPad or Samsung a run for money

Bestpurchase, Best performance, in its class
It just doesnt get any better than this; if it does, it certainly isnt better at this price. Having run through this tier of tablets: Lenovo, Acer, even the Chinese knockoff with dual SIM; this time, this manufacturer got it right..stable OS kernel, robust cpu and substantial RAM memory, all at a price that, frankly, makes you suspicious as to where the shortcuts are, and whats missing.... Nothing is missing...at this price, everything you need is included in this tablet, with a level of craftsmanship, quality, and state of the art not found any where else at this price. Quite a find, and quite a bargain...if android was dying out, this tablet and this brand will breathe new life into this appliance

A Very Nice Tablet
This product had some poor reviews, so I was skeptical but hoped for the best. The screen developed a red line after 2 weeks, and the vendor replaced it immediately without any issues. The unit is fast. I found no evidence of malware, suspicious apps, or unwanted bloat-ware. I have not installed a SIM card or attempted to use the tablet as a phone. I basically leave the unit on all day and charge it at night. I would recommend this to any user looking for a large tablet.

Exactly what I needed for a fair price.
This is a pretty good solid tablet. Has a recent Android build. Battery is pretty good. Screen looks good. It's nice and thin. I got it because it had some of the most RAM in this price range. It paid off, because there's no hesitation. This was a very good buy.

Not new in box. Screen damaged.
The seals on the box containing the tablet (not the delivery packaging) were already cut. This was clearly not a new product but a return being redistributed or a product been tampered with. The screen on the tablet had small but visible flaws after removing the protective covering, something you shouldn't see in a brand new product.
