It works fine so far
It works fine so far. the last one quit after years of use. This is a replacement for my blind husband. If it lasts as long as the last one, we will be very happy.

Zombie voice
Zombie vouce now!It worked fine for almost a year then we noticed that if you got back on in a few minutes it might say you weigh 10 lbs less! Then the vouce started getting garbled. We changed battery even though it didn't show it was low yet. I think the digital display still works. So i bought a much cheaper one on HSN that works fine so far. I will put the old one in the guest bathroom and let it startle them since the voice now sounds like a zombie!

Great Product!
I purchased this item for my elderly Mother who is legally blind. It is very easy for here to use and she can now watch her weight on her own.

THIS SCALE IS A RIPOFF
The scale has no volume control and is very hard to hear. The sight dial is a dark grey so the visual is uselessunless you pick up the scale before the numbers disappear.

heavy accent
Although the scale is English speaking, the voice has a very heavy accent. This makes the spoken weight difficult to understand.

Poor purchase, not happy with seller
We helped a friend who is blind, to purchase this scale as a replacement for her old one. The new scale arrived promptly. Since it was the same as her old scale, we did not save the packaging. (Big mistake!) We delivered it to our friend. Later she told us that the voice was so soft she could hardly hear it, but she thought it might be OK. Then about two weeks later, it stopped speaking completely. We picked it up from her and contacted the company by email as recommended on their website. We did not get a response, and it was getting close to the 60 days to return it. Finally we called the company to get an RMA number, so we could return it, and explained the situation. We were told to return the scale and put a letter inside explaining the problem. We packed the scale very carefully and sent it back, then left for our vacation. When we got home our friend informed us that she had received a rather unpleasant phone call telling her the scale couldn't be returned because it wasn't in its original box, was dirty (it wasn't), had been used (how else would you know it doesn't work?), and was not in resellable condition...(why would they want to resell a DEFECTIVE item???)The next day, we received the scale..they had sent it back to us...wrapped in bubble wrap, in a taped-up box.We have challenged the purchase through our credit card, and bought a different scale. My recommendation, if you want a talking scale, check out the products by "My Weigh" --that's what we bought and it is MUCH nicer!
