I like that this product effectively works within 30 minutes of ingestion in my 25lb Miniature Schnauzer. If I know we're going to be traveling for a long period of time, it helps to calm/relax him so that he's not constantly moving around the car.I also give this to him when I know we're going to leave the house for a few hours at a time. This will reduce the barking when he's crated.In my opinion this product works better than those other CBD or calming chews that really have to be given daily in order for them to work.I prefer the licks Zen because I can give it to my dog when we need it.

this stuff is genius. we take ashwagandha and we struggle with our pug. he has anxiety and breathing issues. we were curious to see if dogs could take ashwagandha and that is how we found this product. we were desperate to calm him down. as far as the taste, he loves that also and to say he is picky, would be an understatement. he eats meats. most dog treats, he either gives us a hard time or simply will not eat them. he seemed to enjoy it, which is shocking. we will reorder for sure. we are so very happy with this product. nothing could stop his anxiety (panting) and this has helped. a panting pug in July is not good at all. Thank you so much for such a wonderful product. UPDATE: even better results for our pug, giving him a half packet a day. it's like he had years of professional dog training. this product rocks. we had a huge thunder storm and his behavior was so much better. he still huffed and puffed, at first, but he worked through it. he is relaxing now. so nice to see. he spends a lot more time sitting on our laps or beside us, which he never did before. it's such a really nice feeling. thank you thank you Little Licks.

Great product! My 12 pound older papillon poodle has a horrible time with long car trips and fire works! Not to mention the groomer & vet appointments it must taste great and works fast. I love the smaller portionsThank you for a terrific product !! Every dog needs to try it especially for fire works !!

This works frighteningly well, and I’m not sure I’ll use it again except in times when it’s really essential for my dog’s safety to be sedated. Like a very long drive or a flight.My rescue Chihuahua-Mini Pin is super nervous in the car, and she’s still too anxious to leave home alone. So I wanted a way to bring her along with me on drives. I gave her about 1/3 of a package, refrigerated first, on a spoon. She loved the fishy flavor, and lapped it up. We got in the car, about an hour later, and while getting her into the car was tough as usual, she relaxed into her car seat and she was very sedate. She was also very relaxed around a repair person, when normally she is very frightened of strangers.However, she got so drowsy that she wasn’t acting at all like herself. She is normally energetic and bouncy at just over a year old. I took her for a walk as she walked like an old dog. So slow. Then, when we got home that evening, she didn’t jump up into my bed as she usually does. She slept way too deeply. I could barely budge her.Honestly, I don’t feel comfortable using this again. I’m very nervous about any potential long-term effects from this combination of herbs. While I would take these for myself, and I do use these herbs, I’m not sure that all things that are good for humans are good for dogs.I would encourage people to use this very cautiously. And in very small doses for starters.

This product has worked amazingly on my 12lb rescue mix.Milo was beyond petrifiedof storms. He shook so hard, you think it would have turned into a seizure.I purchased this, squeezed a package on a half of piece of bread and within 10-15 minutes he was relaxed and sleeping like a baby.It has been about a year ago when I ordered it for the 1st time. I have given it to him maybe four or five times over the past year and it worked great every time.I have noticed the past two thunderstorms have not affected him at all and he did not need product. I believe that is due to the product allowing him to relax enough to realize he is safe indoors during storms.I have recommended to several people and all have had great success with it.

i ordered this prior to a flight which required crating. tried it out on my pup; seemed to make her hyper if anything. therefore, didn't use it for the purpose for which i bought it. non-returnable.

When I first received this product, I was so proud of myself for finding a calming product that did not have hemp and was made of natural ingredients. I read the direction and gave my dog only the amount he was recommended. It didn’t seem like he liked the taste very much. He didn’t want to take it unless it was squeezed on a treat. Sigh… I really wish I had read some of the “beware” reviews before giving this to my dog… 30 minutes after we gave this to him, he lied down and stayed very very still for few hours straight. He didn’t toss or turn at all during his “nap” and was so quiet even when he was not asleep. After several hours (maybe about 4-5hrs), he went on a walk and got ‘active’ again, but he still appeared very drowsy and fell right back asleep for the remainder of the night. I’ve never seen him like this before. It was strange. The worst thing happened the next day. My dog never ever gets anxious in the car. Ever since he was a puppy, we took him on many short drives (20min~1hr) and even did a long road trip together (14hrs). So he stays very chill and relaxed in his little car seat. The day after we gave him this product, my dog was shaking and panting in the car like he’s having an anxiety attack. Same car, same car seat, same people, same everything.. but the car ride was so different with him that day. Nothing calmed him down and it was painful seeing him like that. I didn’t want to go through that again so I returned the product right away. It would be nice if my dog can tell me what happened, but since he can’t, the only thing I could assume is that this product was not working for him.
