great boot
I purchased the desert acadia for hiking the desert, and working around the yard I live in the desert and wanted a boot that keeps the air moving inside the boot, and remember this style is not water proof.I wear a 11.5 EE, and these are just a little small, but not bad, very comfortable, Danner makes a great pair of boots.

These are the most comfortable boots I've ever bought! I did not find them heavy ( but I'm used to wearing wildland fire boots so anything feels lighter than those). They are extremely well made...And they're rebuildable! The only thing I'm not crazy about is the closed loop eyelettes ( I prefer the top ones to be open myself ) ,but I'm getting used to them. I'm recommending them to everyone...You won't be disappointed. I know if I ever need to buy another pair of boots in the future I won't hesitate to buy another pair of these!

These boots changed my life
These truly are the greatest boots. Unmatched in comfort and durability. They perform wonderfully in the desert, and are also great up north for a guy with sweaty feet. After years of hard use, I eventually wore the Vibram soles down to nothing on my first pair, and I'm so glad they're still making them. (In the USA to boot!) Quality worth the price.

Danner Men's Desert Acadia
This is my second pair of Danner boots, my first one was Fort Lewis (heavy). I consider buying the desert acadia since i live in Texas. been wearing them for a week, perfect fit, easy to break, light (vs the fort lewis), my foot does not sweat or swell in it. looking at the construction, very well done. i will recommend them to anybody who is looking for a good pair of boots for outdoor work, leisure. the military already adopted Danner for the field.

You get what you pay for
While the images on amazon do NOT match the color of this boot (see Danner's site at [...]) for an accurate image), there is not enough that can be said about the quality and out-of-the-box comfort of this American, hand crafted boot. I am more than pleased. If the current administration wants to spend money, give these to all the troops, not just the Marines.

Sure Footing
I needed boots to support my ankles after an injury, and these boots (originally for my son) fit me well and provided the support I needed for my ankles. They allowed me to walk in rough terrain without worrying about my ankles. Laced them up good! It requires a waterproofing treatment so you don't wind up with waterlogged boots.
