Ship Madras Curry Powder 250g

I first tried this when a friend brought it back from India. It is by far the best curry powder I have ever had! I’m glad I was able to find it on Amazon!! It seems Madras Curry Powder is made in different variations, but this one is delectable and has a little kick to it. Not only do I make traditional curries with it, but I love it so much that even eat it sprinkled on popcorn. Something I learned they do at Disney Sea in Japan! This is Madras Curry at its best and as I remembered from authentic Indian cuisine. Intense flavor, balanced, round, elegant with no single ingredient overpowering the other. It is spicy but the spiciness comes from the ginger which I love as opposed to the chili which I cannot stand. Yet the mix is so well balanced that the ginger flavor cannot be readily distinguished from the other ingredients. Strong smell but I love it as that is how Madras Curry is supposed to smell and what Madras Curry is supposed to be when used, in my experience. The tin is lovely. Great quantity for the price. My tin came with an expiration date of 02/2026 (bought Sept 28, 2024). Thank you to all the reviewers who wrote highly of this Madras Curry and helped me choose.

What a difference with your ordinary supermarket curry powder. This curry powder is excellent in taste! Makes a big difference in your dishes!

This curry seasoning is the best! They do not sale these in the stores anymore. I was happy to find this on Amazon. Will continue to purchase as this seasoning is important in our household.

Tasty as provided, doesn't require 'doctoring', other than perhaps a bit of chili powder for heat if you prefer hotter. Consistent taste over the years, well packaged, price reasonable.

Throwing it away. I ruined my expensive homemade time consuming chicken broth with this curry. This will be first time I've ever given a bad review.The flavor, scent & heat were all fine. However I added the "Green Label Rani Brand Madras Curry Powder" it was like everything was covered in a wet chalky sludge.. If you've ever stepped in sludge and had it suck your shoe off - that's what it was like in my mouth. It was awful.

This curry powder has a nice pleasant aroma and flavor! Not very spicy, but nothing a few pinches of crushed red pepper can't fix. It makes a nice base blend that you can add to depending on the dish or your mood. I also love the tin that it comes in, which is aesthetically pleasing AND helps keep the powder nice and fresh.
