Jambala Large Yoga Mat Bag Carrier and Socks bundle, 4 Pockets

I'm a full time yoga instructor who was in the market for a new yoga bag. Before I found Jambala, I tried both the YogiiiTote and the YogiiiTote Pro and although their quality and craftsmanship was to my liking I was sadly disappointed with the size and functionality of both products which did not match their marketing photographs. In the end I returned both YogiiiTote products and decided to take a gamble with the Jambala mat carrier even though I was worried I would have a similar experience. However from the moment I opened the bag I knew this was exactly the product I had been looking for. It was made with the same care and the craftsmanship but was far superior in terms of both size and functionality with the adjustable shoulder strap (which allows you to sling it across the chest instead of just over one should), mat leash (which keeps the mat from flailing around while walking) and 4 different sized pockets (only improvement that could be made to the bag is having one secure zippered pocket). On top of that the material used was much more durable and water resistant then the canvas of the YogiiiTotes but was just as soft and malleable. Thank you for making a muted black and grey option as well, I honestly would not have bought this if the only option available was with bright colors (which seems to be an issue with good yoga products I come across, no neutral less flashy options). I recommend products to my students all of the time but only those that I use and stand by 100% and I am happy to say that this mat bag has made it's way to the top of that list! DID I MENTION IT WAS LESS EXPENSIVE TOO! You won't regret this bag, it's worth every cent and probably a lot more.Last thing to the company, I would love to see a Jambala version of the YogiiiTote Pro, large enough for one mat, one medium bolster, one blanket and two blocks... Seriously, jump into that market because you're doing it way better and I'd love to support a functional full yoga prop bag!

This bag is amazing. It isn't bulky, but comfortably holds even an oversized mat with room to spare for my water bottle, towel, and an extra layer of clothing. I love the interior pockets! They are perfect for holding my phone, keys & sunglasses so that I don't have to search for them at the bottom of the bag after class. The exterior pocket is roomy and so convenient. There is also a tiny credit card sized pocket located under the strap, perfect for my Gym membership card. I am short, (5'2") and similar bags, that don't adjust, tend to be WAY to long for me, so the adjustable strap is fantastic. I can quickly shorten the strap to wear it as a shoulder bag, or lengthen it to wear it across my back like a crossbody bag. I've been using this for several months now and it is still in perfect condition with no signs of wear. All in all, a fantastic purchase.

This bag has the space I need for a thicker mat plus more. It's not bulky but it's still sturdy. Great, great bag. The silicone ring around the strap ensures the strap length doesn't change. Genius feature! My only issue is the slick fabric which made the bag slip off my shoulders. I remedied that with some fabric and my sewing machine. Now it's perfect.

This bag is exactly what I was looking for! It is roomy enough to fit everything I could possibly need for yoga and after, all without feeling heavy or being too cumbersome. (Thick mat, towel, change of clothes, blocks, strap, sticky socks, bag of products to freshen up after a Bikram class, water, snack, book, phone, keys and personal items. All that will fit AND stay organized.) So impressed with this bag, the quality and the craftsmanship. The strap to keep your mat contained is so useful. The pockets are well thought out, genorously sized, and keep all items organized. The carrying strap is adjustable (huge reason why I purchased) and even has a genius way of not readjusting no matter how much weight you put in the bag. I debated a few bags before purchasing this one, and I am so happy that I made this choice.

I bought this bag about a week ago but it's already making me a happy yogi.The only problem I have is that my wife saw it and she is trying to make it her own. I will probably have to buy another one soon just for her. Too bad they don't have other color options. I used to have a simple tubular Beonce bag but I could hardly fit anything else inside besides the mat itself, not to mention the struggle to take it out or put it back in every time. I kinda got used to it, but after I got a new Manduka Pro mat it was clear that I needed to upgrade to a real yoga bag and that’s just what I did. Till I got this bag, I was a minimalist in what I was carrying with me, but now I can take a towel, a big water bottle, clothes, my yoga strap and, believe it or not, it can fit 2 yoga blocks on the bottom under the mat! It takes anything you can put in it. Just have enough strength to carry everything you can put inside! It also has a clever way of working the shoulder strap through the buckle so that it is impossible for it to ever slip even with all that weight. I would have never thought of that myself.It really is a great bag. If anyone from Jambala is reading this: Thanks! Good job! Bring another color and I’ll be the first to buy it! (seriously)It ventilates well because it’s an opened bag, it has 2 inside pockets that can fit my phone, wallet, watch etc, and a big outside one for the towel, water bottle, yoga strap and other things. It even has a small pocket on the strap that saves me from digging through the bag for my gym card or car keys.I could go on, but I think I made my point. I don’t see many reviews here, so I hope this helps others looking for a well ventilated, sturdy, roomy yoga bag.Please come with other color options! And maybe a zipper/velcro pocket or two!Thanks and keep up the good work!

Bag is as described. It’s large, easily fits my thick, heavy mat which is kept to the side by the attached super easy to use strap. The bag also holds two yoga blocks, a yoga mat towel, water bottle, large wallet and there’s room to spare. Also, the shoulder strap is very wide so it doesn’t dig in when loaded up. I sewed on a thin strap with a clip to keep my keys secure and added a snap closure on one pocket where I keep my wallet. The little tag with elephants is so cute, wouldn’t it be great if there were embroidered elephants on the body of the bag? Great item!

Bag with plenty of room, enough to fit 4-5 mm yoga mat, bath towel, water bottle etc. Great to have a bag to carry yoga mat vertically instead of horizontal so getting through doors are less awkward especially on public transport; and bag deep enough with strap to hold yoga mat in. If it had a zip pocket it would be perfect.

A really great yoga bag.This is much more than just the simple yoga bags I saw around. On the interior it has nice smooth lining, 2 pockets and a super convenient strap for holding the mat securely in place. The shoulder strap is adjustable and has a small handy pocket for your gym card. On the exterior there is a huge pocket that can fit a pair of shoes. It is much wider and deeper than you think but it is super light at the same time and it doesn't get bulky unless you really fill it to the max. Overall a 5 star bag

Bag has several slots and compartments, can fit 2 mats, adjustable straps are good. Material could be better, not good for people under 5feet as its too big! Overall, good yoga bag and design works for purpose!

I am very pleased with this yoga mat bag. It’s roomy enough to fit my yoga mat, along with my 1L water bottle, mat towel, sweat towel, and a bit of room to spare. The pockets are great for tissues, phone, keys, lip balm, etc. Lightweight and sturdy material, well made. Excellent value, would buy again 10/10
