All purpose coat. I take it when I go hiking and it doesn’t look out of place in a bar. Keeps you warm and very comfortable. If I had a dislike it’s that there’s a few pockets and my mobile always magically seems to wind up in the last one I check.

On reading some of the other reviews, I decided to order the large size for my husband who is a 40" chest and glad I did. It was a snug fit but he had a very thick jumper on underneath. Good quality and nice styling. Agree though the handwarmer pockets need to be a little lower, but overall value for money.

Excellent jacket in most regards. It looks very good indeed and certainly doesn't look like a cheap coat at all. Although it's waxed it's no way near as waterproof as a non-quilted waxed jacked because of all the needle holes, plus it doesn't have a hood and the hand warmer pockets are unflapped, so I wouldn't want to be in the rain all day in it. However it is extremely warm and very windproof (I was out at 0 degrees C in just a tshirt with this over the top and felt toastie) and the collar fastens up to keep the wing out, so it's a very capable every day winter jacket that's capable of shrugging off a shower. If you're looking for an insulated wax jacket for heavy rain this isn't it, but then you wouldn't be looking at a quilted jacket anyway.Also it looks very nice and can be thrown on over jeans to drop the kids to school or over shirt and trousers to go meet a client in the evening.There is however one major flaw which irritates me - the hand warmer pockets are way too high up on the jacket, rendering them completely unusable. You'd literally be walking around with your hands on your nipples if you used them so in reality they only serve to allow water into the jacket. Would have scored 5 stars if they'd simply omitted the hand warmer pockets altogether or better yet moved them down six inches (there's plenty of space for them down where they should be!).One last note, the black version I ordered is much darker than it appears in the picture. It's also a very very dark green instead of true black. Looks nice though and I'm very happy with that, just saying.

Unfortunately as much as the jacket was lovely it was not sized correctly and had to be returned. Amazon returns was easy and was refunded within hours of dropping off my parcel

Really liked the look of this jacket when it arrived. The quilted stitching is hard to make out and I would imagine would have a negative impact as regards being waterproof. I have bought some wax waterproof spray to fix this issue. It is nice and warm but the zip is a bit fiddly at times which is a pain. I am normally an XL but went for the XXL which is still a bit on the snug size. My main gripe is the stitching for the front pockets has already started to come undone. I put my hand in my pocket the other day and I heard the stitching rip and this didn't take much pressure for this to happen. Also, the smaller hand pockets are useless they are up around my nipples and are totally impracticable and another design flaw. In all, a fairly good windproof, warm winter coat let down by poor stitching and a compromised design.

Die Wachsjacke hat eine gute Qualität mit einer leichten Wachsung. Sie ist etwas leichter als z.B. andere englische Wachsjacken. Gut für den Übergang. Durch die Steppung und auch durch die verstellbare Weitenregulierung wirkt sie etwas sportlicher. Die Ärmel lassen sich umkrempeln und sind ebenfalls, wie auch die Schrägtaschen mit schwarzem Cord abgesetzt. Gutes Preis- Leistungsverhältnis.

Die Jacke stinkt ekelhaft.

Passt gut - Qualität ok - Optik ok mit Tragespuren vielleicht noch besser - etwas steif
